Aaaaah got mine from IB. Only good RNG drop I've ever gotten. Praise the Hawk!

I think I replied to your "luckiest week ever" post, didn't I? We both got something we wanted this week. My Titan has needed a nice Exotic primary forever, Red Death just wasn't cutting it for some reason. He's an auto rifle guy.
-
Nah, that post wasn´t mine. TBH I also got Monte Carlo some time ago but I couldn´t find a good synergy for it. In your case, manning a Titan (I have all 3 classes but I prefer Warlocks) I´m guessing you can either be a) resetting Force Barrer every few seconds, giving you shields forever of b) reset Storm Fist continuously which, depending on the perk, can help you use FoH a lot more. I had already ditched Autos before the last patch in favor of higher impact, lower rate weps like Scouts or HC´s. But yeah, I guess that for an Auto guy, the Monte must be a great weapon.

Wait, then maybe the title was "after all this time", something like that? I definitely remember you writing about your new Hawk and I replied to you. It is awesome, but I'm not a hand cannon guy. I don't always play a Titan, but when I do, I run a Striker Titan. And I love the Monte Carlo. It just fills heads with bullets. I don't know what got nerfed with auto rifles, my Vanquishers still perform like they always did, my Hard Light runs the same, and now the Monte is a premium brand life-taker and widowmaker. The only problem I foresee is that I won't be able to fulfill my Backscratcher bounty because I will kill too fast instead of getting assists. XD

Oh yeah! It was that one. What got reduced in the patch was the effective range as well as the base DPS, that went down by 1,7% or so. But if you are accurate enough (and I must admit, I am not), then your playstyle shouldn´t have been affected ,uch if you can get a ton´o crits. Out of curiosity, how do you use the Monte Carlo? As in, how the perk applies to your character and so?

Since I just got the name perk unlocked right before leaving for work today, I can only tell you how I plan to use it. :) I have the perks set for maximum stability and added Send It, I'm not going to bother with Field Scout. That combination worked very well for me in the matches I played this morning. Now that the Monte Carlo Method is unlocked, I'll be trying to re-train my muscle memory for melee attacks. Having them charged up so quickly should make it very easy to score more melee kills as well. Sadly, I can't find any equipment with perks that use melee to charge your super.
-
There is a perk called Illuminate that gives considerable extra Super energy for kills with Storm Fist. Just thought you´d like to know!
-
I believe I might have it turned on, unless I'm using Transfusion (heal on a kill). The best equipment-related perks I've worked out go like this- Monte charges the melee; I have gauntlets that charge grenades with melee kills; and a helmet that uses grenade kills to charge the Super. Pretty nice, eh?
-
I agree. I found Send It is more useful than Field Scout on Monte. It's so stable you don't miss the extra rounds. There is armor where grenades charge super so there might be some out there where melee charges super. Otherwise combine it with armor that provides a chain - Monte charges melee, melee charges grenades, and grenades charge super :)

Yep, that's the golden chain I'm trying to forge. I have learned to live with the fact that I will never rule the Crucible, but Monte Carlo is certainly helping me hold my own. I have had a Merciless kill streak in almost every match since I equipped her. Something about my Titan and auto rifles just go together. Maybe if he picks up a Suros someday the results would be similar. (I have my fingers crossed for Xur to sell them this week, so I can pick one up for my Warlock as well- even though historically she's not great with autos, that might be the exception.)
