So im really intrested in Philosophy and Culinary Arts. I really want both but idk any school offering both programs in tge US. Anyone have anything you would wanna say to me?
What should i do?
Should i choose one over the other?
Know any schools?

EDIT: I really like Philosophy its a passion something id never feel like its work i find it a way of life like a religion and a mission or purpose and happiness, then Culinary Arts, i grew up with a family business of food and i flourished a love for food and have dreamed of creating it for people and my family one day.
Edit: Im not a Money digging person, philosophy like i said gives new perspectives in happiness, life, and money.

6 RepliesNeither. I have a culinary degree. No one wants chefs anymore. They want cooks. Chef of the past have been such pains in the ass to employers they no longer want them. If you plan on owning your own restaurant you don't need a culinary degree for that just experience and money. Lots and lots of money. There's an old saying in the restaurant biz; you can make a small fortune in the restaurant business, you have to spend a large fortune to make it though. I've owned my own and was in that line of work for 26 years. It's was fun but it's no way to live long term. It's terrible for raising a family, terrible on marriages and you'll lose all your non restaurant friends. I left that industry 4 years ago and I've never felt better. My advise: next time you see some guy in his 30's driving a Porsche or Ferrari or a Lamborghini ask that person what they do for a living compile their answers and pick a career from that list.
