Edit 2: Wow! I had no idea this post would become so popular!
We just reached 1000 Comments!
Thank you so much for every commeny guys! This is absolutely fantastic!
Seems like the Hive have the advantage for Visual Spookiness and Sadism while the Vex take the 2nd Place for Psychological Terror and the whole "I'll wipe you out of the existence" thing!
Also, it seems we can all agree that the Fallen are not spooky at all.
And that the Cabal can blow up things.
Edit 3: By the way, I voted Vex. If you want to know why, just read the "Ghost Fragment: Vex" Grimoire Cards. You will experience ontological hell.

Phalanxes. Although I suppose it would make aeroplanes cheaper.

3 RepliesEdited by JHarv: 5/11/2015 6:30:58 AMPicture a Hive Knight running at you at full speed with a sword... That's scares me enough in the game!
-
Gotta say an 800 lbs Turtle with 250 Sharp teeth will make me run very quickly. Cabal has my vote.
-
6 RepliesIf u didn't vote for vex, you should vote for vex. The vex can travel through time and eliminate you at birth and can teleport right next to you and all those creepy robotic heads and they can go through our internet and computers and really would be the worst. Hive maybe visually, but in general, vex

7 RepliesGorgons by far the most terrifying enemies. Wipe you from existence just by looking at you. Vex wins.
-
The Minotaur noise would be terrifying!
-
The fallen. The hive are scary and quick but dumb. Fallen are tall, quick, smart and sometimes invisible.
-
The Hive unless I get the jackolyte helment.
-
Vex-time traveling machines > fat turtles, space zombie thing, re-skinned elites.
-
Cabal because of the phalanx... He could litterally send me to space with one hit of that shield/lunar launcher...
-
3 RepliesHey how did you do that Fallen Hive Vex Cabal
-
First I thought hive. Then vex. Then hive again. Then I thought Fallen. Because of stealth vandals... You'd be able to hear them. Not to see them.
-
Cabal because big guns
-
1 ReplyI think the fallen because they're just merciless killers. Then again, everything is. Never mind
-
Where is Sheeple option?
-
5 RepliesIf the Vex were a real thing I would steal a time gate and write down the winning lottery numbers every week. Sure the world would be doomed, but if we're going down, I'm going down in my super yacht!
-
Read the vex grimoire...
-
Invisible enemies? -blam!- that, fallen are the worst
-
Deez nuts
-
Architects. I'm killed by their invisible hand more than I'd like to admit
-
hive are meh space zombies whoopty shit, cabal WHO CAN BLOW UP THE PLANET!!!!! are alot scarier because if the engage in an infantry battle thank your lucky stars for there kindness as they don't need to waste time doing so.

Edited by Verrano: 5/12/2015 5:23:02 PMHive are scary. Their grotesque armor makes them even scarier than the noises they make. Imagine in the dead of night, and then all of a sudden you hear this loud hissing and you see 3 green eyes running towards you. Plus, when ogres start sprinting, it really freaks me out that they can run that fast and they're so big...

Edited by Green Siksh0rts: 5/12/2015 5:02:38 PMLet's take a broader look at why the Vex and Hive should be scariest: Hive: Thralls - Bony, toothy bastards that sprint at you in large groups, screaming as they attempt to claw you to shreds. Cursed Thralls - Glowing explosive versions of thralls that emit an eerie noise. Acolytes - They look evil. They growl, they are tall, they often appear from any nook and cranny, and they shoot void death projectiles at you. And there are a lot of them. Knights - Huge bony armour things that growl, are harder to kill, have explosive weapons, sometimes shields, and charge at you relentlessly with freakin' swords. Oh and the healing powers of those darkness shields. Ogres - Gargantuan, moaning tumor things that will fire a f*cking laser at you and charge you while glowing red, like knights. F*ck. Wizards - Crack Whores *shudder* that fly and fire arc darkness at you while shielding themselves and poisoning you. Shriekers - They aren't even alive... doesn't stop them sending homing blasts at you. And chasing you still when they are destroyed.
Crota - A f*cking huge knight that is near-invincible, surrounded by hive and has a f*cking sword and wizard powers. Also, he glows and SPRINTS AT YOU when you aren't looking. Omnigul - The oldest crack whore. Eeeeewww. Urzok - He f*cking does not die. Sardon - He sprints at you relentlessly, stops you from jumping properly and sends damn shockwaves at you. Sardok - He's like Crota jr. Phogoth - A TITANIC tumour that will destroy you if you get in clear view.
Vex: They all go F*cking mental when headless. Imagine having a headless praetorian and several headless goblins chasing you. No thanks. And they can spawn at any moment from anywhere. Goblins - Made of metal, physically taller than you, make scary glitch noises, appear in huge groups...and can hit you with a Void Charge. Also, they frickin teleport. Hobgoblins - They snipe you, they make wierder noises, their rifles make wierder noises still, they can become invincible for a time, and they look physically disturbing. Harpies - they fly, they can be fast, they have tentacles, they look physically disturbing up close, and they can even explode in The Vault. Fanatics - Hordes of headless, explosive vex sprinting at you. Minotaurs - *sighs*....well. No weak spot...Huge and built like tanks...easily enraged and will sprint at you...explosive and foreboding-sounding weaponry...shields...they teleport aggressively...they actually falcon-punch you...they make noises that make you go "well, shit!"...being headless makes it even worse. Hydras - F*cking centipedes with shields, and dual torch hammers. AND they float. Not to mention, actually managing to get one chasing you is f*cking scary as hell, especially on weeklies. Cyclops - Enormous Vex surrounded by other vex...
Praetorians - Tougher Minotaurs that sprint at you as soon as they teleport in alone from the dreaded vex cloud... Sekrion - A f*cking giant hydra with the violence of twenty criminally insane serial killers. The Templar - Shielded fully, makes wieeeeeerd noises...is almost as violent as Sekrion. Can wipe your entire team with oracles. Gorgons - Glowing harpies that can instantly wipe you, its 'prey'...they also look terrifyingly hideous when they spot you. And...NOISES ATHEON - Huge f*cking Glowing minotaur that has horns 'n' shit, teleports you through time, SPRAYS you with torch hammer blasts, makes NOISES AGAIN and summons explosive minions.
Vex are scarier I think. If I really wanted to go into it we'd be here all night.

If you blow up a knight's head you can see that its a skeleton with 3 green eyes and looks spooky af

2 Replies800 pound gorillas who blow up planets for the hell of it? Anyone?

2 RepliesHad a dream about another hive raid. This is worth the read because it's pretty funny. So at first we appeared at a doorway that looks very much like the door that opens after you kill the ogres. everything had the usual hive green tint, but with shades of red integrated, like the whole place was consumed with dark energy idk. Anyway we had to get through two doorways to get to the boss, one way which was a dead end and another which led to the actual arena where you fight this new boss thing. The tint of the arena was Dark red, like very dark red with a green like sun in the distance. There was no throne or anything, but there were three distinct paths that led to portals which released the boss out of a random location. Boss was a giant ogre with spikes on its back. Now to beat him we had to acquire Hinder of Darkness for two character which was a buff acquired by killing certain majors in the arena. Once you got the buff you use whatever button to hold the ogre still and pin him to the ground. His chin was against the ground and his head was exposed, the rest of the team mates have a temporary ability that allows their melee damage to increase substantially, but also lets you stomp the ogres head. So in my dream we beat a raid boss by stomping him to death... best dream ever. haha
