So tell me guys, what do you think of this idea?
The first 3 upgrades that usually determine the sights of a gun that is legendary or below, what do you think about adding a 4th for the actual use of the bayonet on the end?
It's pointless having these weapons designs if we can't use them, right?
It would work like a shoulder charge, so you'd need a bit of momentum and it would be a deep lunge killing the enemy in one hit in pvp.
Tell me what you guys think :)

How about a "bleed" DoT applied to enemies on hit instead of an OHK?

How about instead of throwing a punch your character takes a swipe with the bayonet? No charge up, no one hit kill, it just acts as a melee

Double press R1/RB to use the bayonet.

I like that idea! It could give a DoT melee, with initial damage being pretty high, and then adding bleed damage or something.

It'd be like the retro Lancer from Gears 3, I like it, but not the one hit kill part. Extra charge attack damage would be okay but not an insta kill

They could take a tip from Borderlands where it just replaces your melee when a gun has a bayonet on it.

It would be too strong if the bayonet insta killed. just making it do extra damage is fine.

That's like saying clubbing people with Gjallarhorn is a one hit kill. It would probably one hit kill people.

Melee damage should increase by 50% so in PvP it would take the lunge+3-5 bullets from montecarlo or 1 burst from red death to finish them off

I think that while the weapon is in use it should give a melee damage bonus

It would not do a OHKO, But I feel it should be a very close attack, but very quick. Maybe 1/2 Second to complete a stab?

I don't agree with a 1-hit kill like the OP shoulder charge, but maybe a standard melee attack with the function of a shoulder charge instead. You'd still get an advantage with the fast lunge but it wouldn't be OP.

When it comes out all the classes will be able to say, "yay now we see that the titan should charge isn't the best" and then WE may possibly get that blink we have been craving :P I smell a jetpack booster chest piece coming our way if your melee idea is implemented

I agree, but only if the exotic perks don't kick in for this. (So Red Death regening your health and Monte Carlo not having a chance to regen your knife).
