I did some research and found several accounts in this state. Here is how it happens 1. User A with gamertag Ziyco plays Destiny, and his gamertag is stored in our DB. 2. User A changes his gamertag to something else, but never returns the play Destiny 3. User B changes his gamertag to Ziyco and plays Destiny 4. Now we have two Ziycos in our DB. I have filed a but to fix search so that only the most recent Ziyco is returned rather than the oldest.

  • Tetron, is there a way to refresh it in your system, or just reset the data so it gets it on the next logon... See here is the issue. I played on 360 for a day with a redbox rental about 2 months after the game came out. It was under the Fingledobe Gamertag. This was not my main Live account... i think i made it years ago... cant remember the email associated with it or anything, its just on my 360 when i boot it up. Played one day, got a lvl 3 warlock and returned the game. Come to today, months later, i get a xbone... boot it up and log in with my main profile FingleFlak. Well i want to change my name to fingledobe, so i switch the gamertag "fingledobe" (old 360 account with 1 day of playtime) to some random microsoft generated gamertag and sell my 360. I then change Fingleflak to Fingledobe and log on. Now whenever i try to use any external API tool like Destiny item manager, the only thing that shows up is my vault and my lvl 3 warlock.

  • If you can somehow sign in to your Xbone using the Microsoft Account associated with the 'some random microsoft generated gamertag' and play Destiny, the problem will resolve itself.

Hey, just saw this. We've bumped into this problem too today for a 360 user. Came to the same conclusion after looking at how the Bungie.net Profile page was generating the Membership ID vs what we were getting back from the SearchDestinyUser API. http://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyItemManager/comments/33bm68/xbox_360_account_displayed_not_xbox_one/

  • Thank you. To serve this player their correct data I manually assign them the correct membership id in my website. The membership I'd I found for then through the forum api endpoint. I am sure they will appreciate a fix. Thanx again.
