I killed Sepkis 32 times. But I know I have faced him more than that.
I think it is actually the finishing blow.

Ah, that might explain that. Stills doesn't explain SIMIKS though.
-
Are you sure you didn't face him. He is just a yellow bar major Servitor when you do the Archive Mission. He is not a boss.

EclipseSL94 above just told me where he was. I did face him, I just didn't pay any attention to the name or the bar. When I see a yellow bar, I just think "elite" bad guy and fire with everything I have. Still, considering he had a card, you would expect a little more build up like the other individuals who get one. Thank you though.

If you ever somehow solo Sepkis or are sure you delivered the finishing blow on him check your numbers to make sure it is not a slight stat tracking glitch.

When I arrived on the Archive mission, three other level 30+ Guardians were already there cleaning up the place. I assume that was there because the Darkness zone didn't start until inside a building a little afterward. I tried to stay out of their way. I tend to solo the game for a couple of reasons. First, this is my first time playing the game so I don't know much about it. Second, I tend to want to focus on the story and usually in games I get distracted easily if I am with friends. Third, I was only level 17 so I didn't want to bother a few people who were better than me. They may think I am a noob at this game. I hope I didn't piss them off though by taking that kill. I swear I wasn't paying any attention to the name, but I will now. I feel that way with Crucible matches too, since most people are 30 and I am only 18, I am afraid I am going to get kicked because they think I am inexperienced.

Some advice from a beta vet. Don't worry about stealing kills the game gives exp and bounty credit if you are near each other. Plus if you are a lower level you need XP even more. Everyone has been in your shoes at some point. SIMKIS 3 (not a big deal enemy) can only be faced in the Darkness zone. No one will clean him up before you get there. There are many patient people to play with don't let Dbags intimidate you into a solitary player. Some of the best game content is easier or only accessible with a group. For example Nightfalls better with a group. Raids most of us "need" a group especially VoG. Besides Iron Banner level doesn't matter in crucible. You will find your weapons pretty effective. Keep your Stranger's Rifle if you haven't dismantled it. I still use it over my legendarys in regular crucible. Many high level people in Crucible suck 32 is just a number when levels don't count.

Ok, Ill keep that in mind, thanks. One last question (completely off my original topic though). The raids, I haven't done one yet because I hear they last for hours and I only ever play one hour intervals (busy personal life). Is this something I can avoid or would you recommend I play it? And if I do play it do we have to play the full thing in one sitting or can we take a break and come back later?

Edited by Psi Optics: 3/22/2015 3:13:04 AMWith a competent group you can complete raids as quick as 30-40 minutes. It could take long if your group doesn't have it completely together. Good news is that raids are broken into sections and you are awarded checkpoints that will last until the weekly reset. I would suggest the lower level easy version of the raids first. Crota's End will offer you good gear since it is the newest one. VoG is more fun imo though. If you need a group post on destinylfg there are people willing to work with newer players and teach them the ropes. However I see you are on the verge of level 20. Once you reach 20 you can earn vanguard marks and start buying legendary armor from the Vanguard. Once you get all of your armor you can level it to 31. At that point you can be a good level to do both easy raids. Since VoG starts at 26 and Crota starts at 30. Also as you progress through the raid the enemies get buffed above the entry level so it is good to be a little higher. So just make sure you are leveling and buying gear efficiently there are many guides out there.

Ok, I'll look into that when I get my rank up there. Thank you for your help, that's cleared up a lot for me. I felt like I was doing something wrong. I am actually new to the MMORPG thing. I really only picked it up because of Bungie and I am a Halo fan so I wanted to see what they did next. I didn't know I would get this hooked. lol Thanks again!
