Hardlight Debate.
I have read several posts and such saying the Hardlight should deal arc. Here is a quote from said gun's grimore card, "In its current iteration, the Hard Light design fires a superheated polymer round with exotic capabilities. " Superheated Polymers sounds a bit more akin to plasma which is a really really super heated matter. The fourth state of matter to be exact. Some people think oh well it shoots balls that look like lightning so it should deal arc. If we went by that logic the Ghorn would deal Solar and arc. I am using facts and proof the game/bungie gives us. So if you want to argue with the what BUNGIE themselves put as lore for a gun then alright.

3 RepliesHardLIGHT and does plasma have the ability to reflect/bounce off of things? And if it kills it goes through to the next thing, Light only stops when it hits something. And it also staggers, if I were hit directly in the eye with light, I would stagger backwards, Arc damage is basically lightning, Also technically plasma, and is also (to me) Noisy light that can kill you.
