I received my Hardlight a few weeks back from the Vault of Glass, but it's been sitting in my vault for a long time. I was told by some friends that it wasn't all that great, so I stashed it. My For the People (engram) is one of my favorite weapons in Destiny, although the auto rifle nerf makes it far more challenging to use now in PvE and completely useless in PvP. I recently noticed that Hardlight's stats are very similar to my For the People's, but it has slightly-lower stability, a higher mag capacity, and slightly-better range and impact. I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to upgrade. I've been working on Hawkmoon, but I'm just not feeling this weapon. Thoughts?

Haha I just got one after getting 1 kill and 1 assist in a ROC strike. They beat it while I smoked a cigarette

If you like using for the people in crucible you will probably like hard light. Is that gun has one of the best stagger hits of any. Damage per second if you stay in it's sweet spot is actually pretty high. same with the iron banner auto rifle which also gets a bad rap. the problem with both of them is range.

3 RepliesI get what you're saying. I too had a for the people with a fantastic role. But hardight? More like trashlight! Am I right?
I tried OK
Anyway, the range and stability are horrible. I wouldn't upgrade it, especially over Hawkmoon. If you think the auto Nerf hit for the people hard, wait till you see what it did to hard light. (Which wasn't very good to begin with) Hope I helped

Hardlight would make a very good legendary ... but as exotic takes a slot... not so good. But, it is a good AR when you upgrade it with Stability perk.
