Hey guys, just an idea I want to throw out there to see what you guys think.
Having three characters, I basically main one, then use the other two simply for Raids and Nightfalls. On my two "sub" accounts, I have NO class materials (Plasteel Plating, Hardonic Essence or Saphire Wire). I CANNOT level up my gear, not because I don't have Glimmer/Shards, but because I'm out of class material!
Bungie keeps saying that they "Want to make Crucible more attractive" because as it stands now, there is little to no incentive. How about after every game, you get 10 class materials! What do you guys think?

my day 1 character has over 1000 pieces, the other 2 characters have about 4 each ha, some exotics need about 100 pieces. raid gear needs 50 the armour drops in crucible help, but I agree there needs to be a better way to get these materials, farming for green/blue engram's is no fun at all
-
In the exact same situation. My main has over 1000 class materials, so she can upgrade any piece of armor found instantly. My other two characters struggle to have 100 at any given time.
-
Remember the day when people played PvP because it was fun and not because they expected a reward? *cough* Halo! *cough*
-
Don't really get why u need an incentive to play pvp. I came from playing bf4 where after one week had everything unlocked and had no more so called incentives to play other than wrecking people. I don't think this game is meant to just play pvp or just play pve. You play pve for drops and pvp for humiliation.

Edited by Guandao: 3/19/2015 11:14:14 PMTotally agree with you. Its just way more efficient and profitable to do ROC strikes considering the reward gained. 1 completed ROC strike = guaranteed engram, 25 reputation points and 6 marks 1 winning crucible match = no guaranteed engram, 25 rep and 3 marks 1 losing crucible match = no guaranteed engram, 10 rep and 2 marks Considering the price of Crucible Gear and Vanguard Gear is exactly the same and the time spent on an average ROC strike and a crucible match is more or less the same. It just makes Crucible gear seem more expensive not worth the effort when you can get similar weapons armor and materials from the Vanguard. (Plus the extra glimmer and class materials earned from the engrams)

1 ReplyThat's a reasonable reward for crucible
-
1 ReplyIt's been said before but a more extensive purchase and/or trade system would make a lot of sense. Why can't I take the abundance of sapphire wire from my main and trade it for plasteel or hadronic... I'd even throw in some glimmer or a handy-j.
-
3 RepliesStrikes......
-
Awesome. This would be great, especially because my other too characters lack in class materials.
-
what I found worked best was taking the armor engrams I've gotten and throwing them in the vault for your other classes to use
-
1 ReplyYou can buy green armor from the vanguard for 250 glimmer.
-
12 RepliesDon't know if you know this but you can just transfer your rare engrams than you earn to your other characters to decode. Rare engrams always decode to the same class as the character doing the decoding, no matter who got the engram drop. I do this all the time on my three characters.
-
I agree. After every vanguard strike, a reward is guaranteed. Crucible should be tje same.
-
Nah, they need to give out more engrams :)
-
4 RepliesBetter idea is to just buy them with marks we earn... Just like the materials.

15 RepliesThat's a lazy excuse. You're a casual. My hunter is gonna be level 32 saturday, which means I'll have a 32 of each class.
-
I don't agree, just because ut says every match. I git a lot of materials on ny hunter (my only character atm) by just doing patrol and dismantling green engrans.
-
Maybe instead of material they give you a de decoherent every time
-
Who needs it? Lol
-
I could get behind this. Bump
-
1 Replywhen you get armor engrams on your main, put them in your vault. take the engrams out on your alt accounts and go the cryptarch. the engrams will turn into class armor that you can scrap for the mats you need.
-
3 RepliesCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I don't play much crucible. The very least crucible could offer is crucible vendor weapons as rewards, much like IB does?
-
2 RepliesI have enough sapphic wire to build a house
-
I think anything is better than nothing!!! Maybe a glimmer reward for first place?? I like the materials idea too!
-
Yes. One could play hours of Crucible and get almost nothing.
