No, you don't get the weapon for putting in the code, you get the card.

Please read full post. I have never received it or purchased and used code, but show a kill with the weapon. While it may be possible game counts other ppl' s kills gonna call BS as I have friends that I run with that use the weapon while on my fire team and the kill count has never gone above 1 and I believe has been that way since code redemption. This is why, I think it may be bugged... Remove the card from my grimoire and let's see what happens.
