I'm curious to see if there are a significant number of players who have never attempted a raid before, despite being the necessary level.
So... if you've hit level 29 or above, comment here with your current level, when you started playing, and why you haven't tried raiding (yet?) :3
Edit: There are a bunch of awesome people who have commented in this thread that they're willing to give unseasoned raiders a hand. If you're considering giving raids a try, why not start by reaching out to one of these players? Just please remember, the biggest requirement in learning how to raid is not your equipment, not your level... it's courtesy, honesty, and an ability to listen more than you talk.
Happy raiding, Guardians!

I was level 31 before my first raid.

1 ReplyI'm a 32 warlock and still have never done hard Crota because whenever we get to the cp nobody knows what they're doing or how to swordbear. Anybody up for helping me out this weekend? Xbox 360

7 RepliesI have a 31 hunter and 29 titan, started playing in early December. Never raided cause I got no friends that raid. I just started using the forum to find people to do the nightfall with. I want to find people that don't mind teaching me how to do a raid though. ps - shout out to the guys that helped me do the nightfall with. Especially jimmychoo on PSN, he helped out even though he already did it! Wish I could find more guys like that! :)

Here. Way more pvp guy, even if the rewards is redicioulous :/

4 RepliesSadly I have only attempted a raid once since launch and it was a blast. It was 6 people who never stepped foot into VOG and we failed a ton of times but finally beat the Templar. It was great and amazing and fun but took a while. That is my "excuse" for not raiding. I dont have a schedule which I can commit to a few hours in advance. I have some days which I can but most of the time I can really only stay on for a strike or do Crucible or bounties so that I can put it down if needed at anytime. I would love to go into a raid and get some end_game gear.. maybe one of these days when I have a few hours open I can commit to a group. Lvl 31 Warlock

Level 31 Hunter since day 1 of release. Joined normal vog once with a group of randoms thinking I'd get into it. Turned out they were at gorgon cp so I had no idea at all where to go, they all went ahead, I got booted, not played any raid since. PS3 and psn as above if anyone has time to walk a raid noob through.

I have a 32 titan, 30 warlock, and a 30 hunter. If you're new to raiding i can help with either. Gamertag: ArrowToTheKnee8

1 ReplyHunter level 31, Titan level 30, Warlock level 30, Played since day 1. I have never raided because when I made the witch over to Playstation I left all of my friends on the Xbox universe. I have made a few awesome friends since playing Destiny due to various PVE and PVP activities but have still never raided. My main problem is that my work gets in the way... #firstworldproblems i know. I work 50+ hours a week and when my wife is home I choose to spend time with her more often than not. My only really good day to play destiny is on Mondays when I'm off and she's at work. But having all of that being said, I still vastly enjoy the game. I do my daily's when I have time to and get into Iron Banner when it comes around. I have done a few nightfalls with the couple of friends (who I'm in a clan with now) and have Solo'd the Archon Priest Nightfall a few times. Yes the grind is real and tedious, but it does its job of keeping me playing, and the gunplay in this game makes the grind much more than just that.

I started early November and didn't do a raid until late January I think? Had a 31 warlock at the time, Titan might have been about 29. Main reason is because I didn't have anyone to play with.

4 RepliesThis might be a weird thing to post, but I'm a seasoned raider looking to join another seasoned raider looking to help newbies. So I'm looking for a partner to help newbies I guess. I'm not very good at explaining the stuff, and I just get frustrated with myself when I can't teach people the right way quickly, so I'd love to just be another guy that can help out and just be there to pick up the slack, so to speak. My GT is the same as my name, and I'm on Xbone, willing to do VoG or Crota.

VoG few times, not set foot in CE, dont play with enough people that raid in my timezone

1 ReplyI have done the raids before, but only a few times and not until I was at lvl 29. I just don't have the friends who play the game regularly to run them. So I started relying on the forums to find teams and I was lucky enough to run both raids through. The problem now is, even though I know how to run the raids (I learn very quickly when it comes to things like the raids for some reason) no one wants to help you run hard mode so you can get better at it, unless you're "Lvl 32" and trying to get people who want to run normal is getting hard because everyone has ran it enough that they don't want to do it, or you get people who are afraid to try it because of the stories you hear about how new people are treated. It can turn you off to the game really quick. Now I will admit that I'm not the best at raids (yet), but I am willing to listen and learn. That's the only way you can get better. So if you're looking for someone who has experience running the raids, but is wanting to get better, hit me up on Xbox One. GT is same as above.

12 RepliesLess than 20% of all players have completed a raid. After house of wolves drops, you will see that number start to increase.

I'm on xbox one same gt as above willing to help new raiders out won't be on til Friday night gmt tho.

3 RepliesRaises hand. Lvl 31 here. I play with live-and-let-smoke in Crucible unless someone gets pissy. Never have raided. used to drop into the 1st Crota chest at start for goodies - total extent of raid experience. Never will raid. Anything that last more than 10 min (Crucible game, strike) - will not do. Play solo always, is peaceful. Have solo'd nightfalls before, but have stopped since its all shit rewards for me. Not much luck for exotics in Strikes or Crucible either - 1 exotic from 539 strikes on a character, and 3 exotics from 1300+ crucible games (all worthless, turned into shards). Still, to each his own. I'll not get most exotics, so be it. But no reason to do something I do not want to.

Friends list lacking Destiny players but would love to XBONE iWrkMayh3m

My friend, 31 no raid (IRON BANNER)

4 RepliesEdited by Atrooper: 3/11/2015 7:16:26 PM31 not a single raid Started before TDB Never seen any reason to raid
-
I'm level 30. Never done a raid before. Non of my friends play the game. I've attempted with a random party but we never completed it. I'm on PS3 and if there is and guardian angel out there who would spend the time to help me through some raids that would be great. Thanks

2 RepliesJust curious as to why people don't raid. Is it simply because you don't have people to play with? Raiding is really fun and the rewards are amazing. There's websites that'll help you find groups. I suggest Atleast doing the vault of glass... It's up there as one of my favorite encounters in all of video games.

1 ReplyEdited by Seraph12000: 3/11/2015 7:15:06 PMHere. I have entered Crota's End solo on PS4 with my Warlock and Titan but that was only to open up the first chest. I don't actually take part in the Raids at all. My Warlock ( on PS4 ) is Lv.31 and she is my only character over Lv.29. Have no interest in Raiding. I don't like the way they are set up or the requirements for them. Will probably never ever Raid.
