I'm curious to see if there are a significant number of players who have never attempted a raid before, despite being the necessary level.
So... if you've hit level 29 or above, comment here with your current level, when you started playing, and why you haven't tried raiding (yet?) :3
Edit: There are a bunch of awesome people who have commented in this thread that they're willing to give unseasoned raiders a hand. If you're considering giving raids a try, why not start by reaching out to one of these players? Just please remember, the biggest requirement in learning how to raid is not your equipment, not your level... it's courtesy, honesty, and an ability to listen more than you talk.
Happy raiding, Guardians!

4 RepliesI cannot ever find the time. I'm one of those people that only ever really plays on the weekends, and though I want to, I've heard some bad things about LFG. So I'm just waiting for my friend to get a good team together and I'll just raid with them.

3 RepliesLevel 31 Warlock. Started playing after Christmas. Never done a raid because I don't know many people on here and I'm shy of strangers. I'm working on playing the game with others, though. :)

4 Replies31 lock Nobody wants to raid with a squeaker. CE groups are impossible to get into Xbox One

Edited by RegionalDialect: 3/11/2015 9:12:26 PMLevel 29 Hunter, played Destiny since day one on Xbox One, have the expansion pass and have never done Vault of Glass or Crota's End. Mostly because not enough of my friends have Destiny on the Xbox One.

2 RepliesThere's no reason not to raid the first part of crota...! It's passable solo!!
-
1 ReplyStarted since release Never did the raid. The only time I did was for chests. I only have 1 lvl 31, 1 lvl 27, 1 lvl 14 I mostly worry about those people out there who take the raid or game to seriously. I always hear so many things about bad fireteams. That's mainly why I avoid raids.

2 RepliesLvl 30 warlock Started Christmas 0 raids done Because my only leveled weapon is LHF so thought I'd be a bit of a liability lol
-
4 RepliesI've tried the raid, back when I was a noob, thought I didn't need a team.
-
3 RepliesI just attempted my first raid a week ago. I was a level 31 before I even considered finding a group.
-
I was 31 when I did my first raid, and had been for a while.iø After a few runs I now feel like I'd been missing out of a lot of fun times the time I wasn't raiding I recommend it.

1 ReplyI love this thread man. So many people to help out. Imma come back to this in the weekend

1 ReplyPeople who say they cant find people are lazy. I didnt have anybody then actively searched the recruitment section of the forum and have found many online friends and raid teams! Get off your asses and get in the vault of glass. Those who say 'i dont feel the need' or 'its not for me'.... How would you know? The first run of vault of glass is a great experience and requires team work like no other part of the game! You're missing out! Start looking for raid teams, you wont regret it!

3 RepliesFirst post, been lurking for quite some time. The main reason for not raiding? Ultimately it is low confidence in my gaming skills. Don't want to ruin anything for anyone else. I started online gaming with quake 1,2, and 3. Actually placed 3rd in a Korean quake 3 tourney when I was stationed over there. But mouse and keyboard is much easier. I also played EQ1 heavily at launch, EQ2, some WOW, shadowbane...etc.. but never participated in a raid. I had something like 2200 hours logged on my EQ1 character as a casual player over the years. Heh, that character name is my gamertag. So.. it is what it is... maybe someday I'll try.

2 RepliesThree Lv 31 characters. Day one player. 0 raids.

I'm level 30 and have been playing since October. I haven't raided yet because I want to do it with my friends and not all of them are a high enough level yet.
-
Just to throw it out there, Me and my clan will be willing to take anyone from lvl 27 and above though the raids. Add Dmac1863 Ps4

Edited by blades of honor: 3/11/2015 8:27:14 PMHunter lvl31.75(needs a light 36 helmet or chest) Titan & warlock lvl31.25 None have raid armor. I done vog 2 times, haven't completed crota yet. I'm just not into the raids, I find playing around on patrol more fun lol. I'm a beta player and have played almost everday since launch night(09/08/2014). I mostly play pvp, main reason I bought the game. Playing it in beta was so much fun and I couldn't get enough of it.

5 RepliesI'm on Xbox one and I would totally be willing to run anybody. Just message me first about whatcha want cause of stranger danger and all

1 ReplyEdited by Grim Papaya: 3/11/2015 8:19:12 PMBeen at it since beta. To this day, have not set a foot inside a raid. Have 2 31's, about 8 different exotic weapons obtained mostly thru ROC strikes, and a couple from Xur. I will, however, do my first raid this Saturday with a guy who spends his time taking whole groups of raid virgins and showing them the ropes. If interested, check out his post: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/107494718/0/0

1 ReplyEdited by Cloney: 3/11/2015 8:39:05 PMI've only completed each of them once, and that was last week. From that experience all you need is one person who knows what they are doing and can guide everyone. The guy we had was awesome, stopped at each section and explained what was going to happen and it made it so much easier. Completed each Raid with minimal fuss and I found it really enjoyable. All I can say to those who havent done it, try it out with someone who's done it before and just listen and ask questions and dont be afraid of wiping...its all part of the learning process. Im itching to do it more now, you get a great sense of achievement and statisfaction when you bring the bosses to their knees. EDIT: Also, if you struggle to find people, have a look for a group that welcomes Raid Newbies.....there are plenty out there and they don't care about your Gjally or if you're 32 or not, they just want to have fun like you and will teach you whats needed.
