I'm curious to see if there are a significant number of players who have never attempted a raid before, despite being the necessary level.
So... if you've hit level 29 or above, comment here with your current level, when you started playing, and why you haven't tried raiding (yet?) :3
Edit: There are a bunch of awesome people who have commented in this thread that they're willing to give unseasoned raiders a hand. If you're considering giving raids a try, why not start by reaching out to one of these players? Just please remember, the biggest requirement in learning how to raid is not your equipment, not your level... it's courtesy, honesty, and an ability to listen more than you talk.
Happy raiding, Guardians!

9 RepliesLevel 28 Titan never raided just don't have anyone to raid with but would try it if I was invited.....DADAC2013 if anyone want to invite thanx

If you are on Xbox one and are wanting to do you first VOG raid private message me on here or through Xbox and I'll help you out. Got over 90 completions and counting.

31 Titan. Been playing since day 1. I've helped groups open the gate for VOG and I will drop down to Crota's End to pick up the "kill 7 hive with one FOH" bounty but I have never joined a Raid Party. Basically my job keeps me on call 24/7 so not knowing when the phone will ring it's hard to find time to jump thru the LFG hoops to find a party or clan to do the raid with. Not to mention I really would not want to be the guy to bail on my group of I had to suddenly up and leave because of work. Maybe with matchmaking I would try since if I actually had the time off I could just join a group and go. So that's about it.

6 Replies30 warlock, 28 titan, 26 Hunter (PS4) Started playing maybe a week or two after release. Haven't attempted any raid yet. I'd like to try them but I don't have many friends that play and didn't want to risk getting some elitist through pugs.
-
If you are on PS4 and play in the weekday mornings, send a friend request with "noob raider" in the message. I have a small group of friends I play with and help each other out. PSN: Wolphe22

Level 31 titan 27 warlock i can only raid on weekends and most of my friends are offline so makes it hard

1 ReplyPlayed since it came out but had trouble finding good team. Also english isnt my first language so im not much of a talker. Is it too late to do vault of glass?

I love showing new people how to raid, it makes it more exciting than just a bunch of 32s cruising through on autopilot to get that one last weapon they don't have. Add me on ps4, if I'm online and you need someone to help il do it no problem. Just let me know what you want me for in the invite, I ignore blank invitations from people I don't know.

I only finished my first raid last week, but I'm level 31 without the dlc

4 RepliesBeen playing since Sept and never completed either raid. Every time I found enough time to do VOG I would go out LFG and the minute I mentioned that I didn't know how to do something those that knew each other instantly start having a conversation about who they can get to replace me and I would get booted. This happened on multiple occasions. I would use the checkpoint to check stuff out but, only so far you can go on your own. I run some of CE on my own now but, if I go LFG, I mention I'm new and an invite just doesn't come. I don't want to join a group that is trying to power through so I always mention I'm inexperienced. Videos cant show you everything and I hate watching someone else do something before I even get to try. I don't suck I just need some direction!

7 RepliesBeen playing since the Beta, attempted the VOG a few times - always failed to raise the spire. Now, I'm all that's left of my original group :(

I'm a level 32 that has only completed Crota once. Exotic Helmet and Iron Banner Gauntlets and Boots. I got the chest piece on my one crota run and I hopped into the lamps pit each week to get my shards to level it. I

2 RepliesMe. Never raided at all 300 hours in day one player. Struggle with time. tend to get on at strange times. And also as a shall way say a mature gamer (39) don't have any friends to play with. I like to think I am good at the game. Seldom die on strikes and have often have the highest kills etc. Will never afk and happy to learn. Also my house has like the worst Internet connection i could use it if destiny was turn based and could be faxed but that's it. So have to tether to my 4g phone which is my only Internet so can't do both at the same time. I guess I am in the minority but thus part of the game is lost to me. Shame eh ... feel sorry for me

4 RepliesLvl 30 warlock and lvl 29 Titan, never done a raid and never did pvp so i am a REALLY out there person lol I work late hours so usually only online from like midnight to like 7am when i am in the mood. So my schedule is the main cause if never raiding. Mostly doing patrols and roc strikes, i'm not usually a talkative person and when people invite me to raid and i tell them i never did it, i get kicked right away.
-
1 Reply31 hunter. From launch. I have raised and it's something I seek out to do, but there aren't a lot of people willing to let me roll with them. But my buddy and I just do strikes.
-
2 RepliesLevel 29, never have done a raid. Haven't been able to get a team together to do one.
-
1 ReplyI'm a lvl 29 (PS4) who's never been on a raid. I'd love to but i find the whole thing really intimidating. I don't know how to get started as so far I've done everything solo and so have no friends online to learn from.

2 RepliesThe number one reason I haven't is that you must have voice communication with the other players for raids, and after playing years of online games, I can't stand listening to most gamers. I know exactly how harsh that sounds, but it's the truth. Not interested in being screamed at by random players because I zigged when I should have zagged. Of course, I have PSN friends who are good to chat with, but not enough of them are into Destiny or have the time for raids for me to form a team I could work with. Now if I can find find other players I find suitable, and who don't think I'm a dick in return (because this goes both ways) then I might do it. But what am I supposed to do, audition people so they meet my standards? Geez, that's not going to go well in any gaming community. Just proposing that would be insulting to most players. So it boils down to if I knew the other players, I would, but since I don't, I'm not interested in working with strangers.

Day 1 player would really like to find a reg team to raid with. I'm a Lvl 31 Titan/Warlock with good, maxed weapons (no Ghorn) and a fair grasp of the raid mechanics when run legit.
-
31 hunter. Wanted to wait until like I felt I could contribute. Followed direction, wiped countless times, and took notes. All in all it was a great experience that I hope to be apart of again.
-
Or "peasants" for short.
-
Just -blam!-ing raid you pussy

Been playing since beginning of October. Level 31 titan, 30 hunter, 28 warlock. Never done a raid because i don't want to sit on a forum looking for a group that would have at least 1 jerk on it. Plus i hate my voice and don't want to put people through that. Lol. Want to do it eventually though just to experience the whole game and get some primaries with elemental damage, if rng likes me that day.

I just recently started nightfalls using these forums and got an invite to CE Normal. Completed it after a few runs so pleased with that but want to learn about raids and do more of them.
-
4 RepliesI cannot ever find the time. I'm one of those people that only ever really plays on the weekends, and though I want to, I've heard some bad things about LFG. So I'm just waiting for my friend to get a good team together and I'll just raid with them.
