Church leaders aren't perfect. If they -blam!- up then they -blam!-ed up. The religion has nothing to do with his short comings. You shouldn't treat a church leader like his some kind of perfect being. The important thing is the doctrine. That's my view anyways. I feel weird talking about religion here.

    It all comes down to agency. God picks the person but that person still has the agency to choose to do good or bad. Lets take Jona as an example, he was chosen by God to be a prophet but he still choose to be disobedient. Also not all leaders are chosen by God even though they might claim that they were. A lot of men aspire to became leaders so they do get it by other means. Judas was an apostel and he still -blam!-ed up. My point is your agency isn't taken away just because your a church leader and you don't become instantly perfect.
