Church leaders aren't perfect. If they -blam!- up then they -blam!-ed up. The religion has nothing to do with his short comings. You shouldn't treat a church leader like his some kind of perfect being. The important thing is the doctrine. That's my view anyways.
I feel weird talking about religion here.

Lets take Jona as an example, he was chosen by God to be a prophet but he still choose to be disobedient. Also not all leaders are chosen by God even though they might claim that they were. A lot of men aspire to became leaders so they do get it by other means. Judas was an apostel and he still -blam!-ed up. My point is your agency isn't taken away just because your a church leader and you don't become instantly perfect.
