I'm going to use a piece of lore perspective and say Hunters. Hunter's thought for protection for non combatants common sense will get non gaurdians on their side. Hunters will become Mockingjay symbols as non gaudians will fight back in waves giving their own lives for the cause ;) Strength in numbers will prevail. (Just an opinion. I do not have a Hunter or a favorite class)

3 RepliesYou guys know war isn't all about fighting. It's also about strategy and smarts. Advantage warlock.

Honestly I think it would be close between warlocks and Titans, hunters would be more of an annoyance then a real army (I love hunters by the way)
shoulder charge
Let's just say that a combination of the three classes is a destructive force providing they're all skilled and use their abilities to the maximum.
-
All warlocks gotta do is wait for the other two to kill eachother off , self rez and finish off the rest

Inner circle of saint 14 blessing, outer circle saint 14 weapons, strikers inside circle, ruin wings walking through to perimeter. Yeah. Good luck.

3 RepliesThe warlocks. They would work down either faction to the bone, and if they didn't already wipe out the whole other army, their ENTIRE army just self res and wipe out the remaining stragglers. It's hard to wipe out an army of soldiers who can take down the gods themselves.

What Stealth do Hunters actually have? Inferno mode negates the off radar whilst invisible, but you can still hear me splashing through the stream.

Edited by Valvatorez: 3/11/2015 11:00:38 PMTbh i think hunters. Stealth is a big turning point in a war imo. EDIT: will state my full points later and give my post a bump.

3 huge armies separated into groups of 6 with no communication as a whole army. This war already sounds like it's up bungies alley.

3 RepliesTitans are like the army, brute strength & aggression. More of a frontline grunt with hefty strength to intimidate any attackers Warlocks are more like marines, good at many things & dangerous all round. Probably like the armys rangers being devastating up close & can hold their own from afar I'd say hunters with high gun skill, mobility, & stealth potential are like special ops or assassins which would take out important figures or attack efficiently in smaller teams Overall I'd say warlocks would have an advantage as they're devastating up close & have a huge defensive advantage to fall back to

10 RepliesTitan are brothers in arms with strong tactics and courage, that is what wins a war
-
Im more of a titan user but i play as all 3 characters at 31 or above and i have enough experience to say that the warlocks would just self rez and throw solar grenades non stop eventually gaining the supercharge back just to repeat the process unless a titan with helm of saint 14 just makes everyone "legally blind" and punches everyone

Warlocks, nova bombs and self rez everywhere. Titans would be a close second

34 RepliesEdited by Semperfi1999: 3/11/2015 5:24:59 PMI love it. Every situation told is all 1 major force facing another major force and they all state Hunters would get squashed. In truth the Hunters would never attack with a major force. Remember in the Battle of the Twilight Gap hunters attacked the enemy using small units they called packs. And their attacks were to devastatingly effective the enemies pulled out because they were taking heavy losses while barely killing any hunters in return. This is how Hunters would fight. They would not face warlocks or titans on a huge field of battle and charge down an embankment at them. They would ambush the warlocks and the titans as they transported their army. They would attack and kill the enemy while they slept using their silent skills. They would hunt in small packs taking small bites out of the huge army until like a wounded animal it becomes to bewildered to know whats going on and thats when the hunters would grab the army by the throat and drag it down to the ground. Titans might be strong...and they can hold a defensive line better than any other unit... Warlocks might be difficult to kill as they can res and they have massive DPS potential.... But when it comes to war. The hunters strategy of being silent and deadly killing and whittling the enemy down slowly and dragging out the fight forcing Titans/warlocks to have to reprovision themselves (as hunters survive off the land). The end result would be hunters slowly and methodically eliminating all warlocks and titans.

HOW ARE THE HUNTERS LOSING?!?!?!
-
6 RepliesBeing invisible would be pretty unstoppable in a legitimate war. Hunters hands down like come on
-
Its hard to say who would win. They all have such different means of attacking and different tactics. Titans are probably closest to a traditional military and organization. Using there strength and battle prowess to their advantage. Hunters would most likely use hit and run, small engagement gorilla warfare. And warlocks would use small tactical strikes where there space magic would be the most effective and do the most damage. If we ate just going to pit them in a straight up slugfest and open combat then titans would most likely win.

1 ReplyI feel like Warlocks would win. Only Warlocks were capable of killing and setting Ahamkara extinct. In case you didn't know, Ahamkara are like... "Gods" if you will. They bend and break truth, logic, and reality, but Warlocks (Thanatanauts, specifically) were able to tackle every single one of them. Before you bring up those things in the skies of Venus, Bungie has already confirmed that those things are not one of the Ahamkara.

Personally I think a long, drawn out "war" would be won by Hunters. However if it was simply everyone meeting on the battlefield, I do think Titan's would dominate. It's what they're built for. Who knows. Maybe the warlocks would work to hide the light of the traveller and prevent the other classes from having their abilities, and then they would easily dominate. The question that remains would be if "supers" would even be possible. I'd imagine if humanity turned on itself we wouldn't have the light to guide us anymore. I think I'm going to try and write a little fan fiction on this. Who would like to read a fictional battle between the three classes?
