Ok so here's my two cents. If u have kids playing this game then u should be watching them. My 8 year old plays. He loves it. Rules are this
He only plays raids with me and my usual group
He isn't allowed to join any raids or talk on the head set unless it's with me and my usual group.
He never accepts invites from people he don't know. He's a lvl 32 with gloowoo on but he's still a squeaker
As much as I want him to enjoy all aspects of the game I am also respectful of other players in that when they invite a 32 that's got 10 hard raid completions the last thing they expect or want is a squeaker. This protects him also from being kicked as at 8 years old kids are easily hurt and affected by this. This is a T rated game. Responsible parents should monitor use. Just my opinion.

very good call grump, there are always lots of lunatics out there, and your kid should be thankful for that, life is beautiful :)

This is fantastic. I salute you for being an amazing parent. I have two young kids and one is starting to like video games. I'll be taking a page out of your book in 4-5 years :)

Well I wouldn't say I was a fantastic parent but I try y best and good sense dictates that kids need to be watched online and a bit of common respect for other people goes a long way. Kids can't control themselves so if they are allowed to they will be jumping in other peoples games singing songs about bananas with the head of a peacock meanwhile totally forgetting what game they are playing and immediately start looking through their inventory for a exotic diamond pick axe !!! Followed by them saying the word "pump" for absolutely no reason and laughing at it !! What I'm saying is. I tend to think how would I feel if a kid joined my game that I didn't know.

Edited by harrymfa: 3/5/2015 7:05:33 PMI heard some of these kids teasing me, and I just brush them off, but I know if I was 10, It'd be upset and feel cyberbullied. To think those kids who cursed like drunk sailors during the days of MW2 must be in college these days (or flipping burgers, considering their education level).

I think most people would deem these rules sensible and responsible. That kid is lucky to have a caring parent like you.

You are One of the best parents I know for having those rules, more parents should be like you

I read this and could not agree more, my son is 11, lives with his mother, but I still wont allow him to play online games, because I know how I talk to people and don't want him talked to like that. The only time he is allowed to play online is the same as you, with me and my group, all in our mid to late 30's, or at his uncle's. People say, 'why do you talk to kids like that?' well if their parents are not watching them and letting a game console watch them, then they are grown enough to hear what I have to say.
