As an avid fan of both universes I'm going to have to side with the Flood on this one. They infect the living. The stormtroopers can get infected. Infect one of them, the flood now knows all of their tactics and can easily rout them. Vader is one man and would be hard to deal with, but him surviving alone out of his entire legion does not mean that the flood loses.

 • I don't know much about star wars but if a clone can survive in the vacuum of space then the armor should be able to keep a pathogen out

 • The vacuums of space aren't prying bits of armor off as there tendrils burrow into your armor and body. The flood aren't a pathogen, their a parasite.

 • How would they be able to infect the 501st? It'd e hard to take even one down

 • Just like it's hard to take down a single elite who has trained from a young age to be a warrior. Elites with shielding. You're trying to say that under no circumstances would a single trooper fall to infection, I've seen it in other posts, the notion is ridiculous. The flood, at the height of their power devoured entire civilizations, a galaxy of flesh and bone. To say that they'd stand no chance is ridiculous. The 501st are a strong fighting force, but one would get infected eventually, really soon probably, and then it will all fall apart.

 • I just can't see the flood infecting any of the elite like I can't see the flood infecting Vader

 • If not for his energy shields Chief would have been infected during Combat Evolved. Can't recall the 501st having energy shields.

 • As was the squad with Captain Keyes who got rekt in Combat Evolved. And as usual you leave out the conditions of this fight. There are so many variables here that everything has to run on pure assumption. And ruins arguments. As OP you know what you have in mind but I have to assume as to the conditions. And assuming their on Vader's big Star Destroy, the Flood will destroy them.

 • You can't see it because you're fanboying. Fanboying prevents you from seeing any sort of logic that doesn't line up with what you want to believe.

 • How am I "fanboying" I'd like to hear an argument other than "da spores" when they wouldn't affect them.

 • A single trooper can easily get overrun by a flood of infection spores. They're is no other way to say that, seeing as infection spires are the only way to, surprise, infect new hosts. It depends entirely on the battlefield scenario, the 501st RoE in this situation, what planet their on, the actual size of either force for an engagement. You haven't outlined a single parameter and still say "Nah, you know, I just don't think they'd be able to, mang." That's fanboying. A poorly thought out post and you only siding with one side without providing any more evidence than your naysayers provide.

 • I'm neutral I just would like to see both sides, one side is coming more strongly than the others, and spores couldn't infect Spartans or the forerunners with those suits

 • Stormtrooper armor doesn't have the same hermetic sealing that those armors do and still the forerunners were overcome.
