Strength, Discipline, and Intelligence mean nothing

    • The new raid has made it more necessary to have situationally tailored stats. If warlocks want to cheese the bridge, high intelligence is necessary, and also helps for increasing the cool downs between radiances for orb generation (or healing with Apotheosis Veil). It's useful for titans as dropping a bubble heals them and provides blessing for team members, and would benefit from short cool downs. A couple of other post bring up that sword bearing is safer for hunters with max strength as there's less chance that they get to Crota without a blink strike ready for a second cloak. Warlocks with high discipline can lay down more of their solar and vortex grenades during the abyss to slow down the thrall and delay them reaching the group as they get slowed. TL;DR: stats aren't absolutely necessary, but they are factors in making stuff like the new raid move a lot more smoothly with less wiping

    • If you want to ninja through the pit as a hunter or make sure your blink strike is always ready against crota max strength helps. There are situations higher strength or int or disp really help but in general you will be fine without it.

    • theres a little thing in VOG called the relic and im pretty sure that if your grenades charge fast so will the cleanse which is kinda needed.

    • Pointless? Go ahead, put on all common gear and see how quickly you change your tone. I've done this as I was curious, your super melee and grenades literally take so long to charge it's ridiculous.

    • When I have a bounty to kill with solar abilities. The recharge melee counts regular doesn't. And grenades do. The faster they charge the quicker I can get the bounty done. And intellect really helps when you need multiple supers in one section of a raid or strike

    • They just do exactly what they say...... For example if you have discipline maxxed at 100%,.....it cuts your grenade cooldown in half........helpful? I think so. I for one have hit the greade button before, and nothing happend because the cooldown was still in effect. Of course the game would still be playable without this........but thats not the point.

    • Yeah ill have to disagree, but my disagreement is if you play striker, the other two classes i dont micromanage. Flash grenades are probably the best pve grenade in the game, now i have full discipline aswell as the armarmentarium so that allows me to pretty much juggle grenades to control a mob "with maybe a few seconds of uncontrolled agro for recharge" During the omnigul strike i can lob 1 grenade to stun that bitch, fire off about 6-7 ghorn rockets, then throw in another grenade and run in with a shotgun to get nasty, if i take out 3 enemies with a gun using grenadier perk i can keep staying near omniguckface and keep juggling those grenades thanks to the replenish speec

      • Actually yeah I've said that before. When using Blink Strike to turn invisible, melee recharge is needed and a very low Strength doesn't help out at all. Meanwhile, my armor all gives Discipline so I have my grenades back by the time my melee recharges not even half.

      • For grenades it makes a noticeable difference, for melee.... Its completely useless lol Your super comes up either way if you're a decent player

      • Um they play a huge roll. The fact that I can toss a solar at the tralls in the pit every 20 sec make a huge difference. Also my titans special charges fast enough to keep smashing

      • I like having my grenades available every 15 seconds and having your super charge faster def comes in handy.

      • Difference is definitely noticeable. Can't think of a time when I NEEDED it, but whipping throwing knives at dudes is a fun way to kill em, nice when it comes back quick

        • You don't need supers, just like you only need primaries to complete these activities. The difference is time. It shortens the amount of time spent in each activity. It allows you to preserve your ammo in Juggler nightfall situations. Enemies running towards you, you panic because you have a pulse rifle, you give them the warlock le push the first explodes and kills the rest. Or le push gives your armor to take an incoming attack. They are tools for your arsenal. Just like you don't need heavy weapons to complete these activities and they could potentially be completed by primary only, it's the convenience of having it.

        • I get my super in less than 80 seconds in PvP with 100% intellect, you would need a 15 kill streak in 80 seconds to do that with 0 intellect, I only need a 6 or 7 kill streak.

        • A high discipline is needed to make the most of Radiance. You can throw grenades much faster. Same with the melee, some melee specials give an overshield.

        • intellect for pve is not that important because you get a lot of super energy from kills, and there is always stuff to kill, plus orb production. grenades are pretty useful, so high disipline is handy, but melees for pve are not that great, seeing as in nightfalls you get slapped silly if you get too close ha. intellect and discipline suit my pvp style of play

        • Try 0 discipline. Then try 100 discipline.

        • I have been in those situations. That said, I run armamentarium and I erooad on my striker, and foh sucks, so my 100% discipline isn't exactly necessary
