Why are people acting like they suck now -_- they hear it's a nerf and all hell breaks loose, although damage was only nerfed by like 2%. if dat 2% less damage got u killed then u probably shouldn't be playing pvp... but hey, who am I to judge

Edited by Arycon: 2/28/2015 3:32:38 PM2% really? Check your math, dumbass. It is an overall 2.5% across various stats like ROF. That means Suros got a nerf of about 11% based on data statistics post update on 02/25/2015. Fact is PR are now viable in combat, both PVP and PVE. The problem is AR now are less viable and require much more skill to use to attain the same K/D ratios. Most will say just use more tactics to compete. Well and good, but the fact is guns like Vex, TLW, Thorn and RD will all have a lower TTK than AR now. Period. So why use AR at all when I can get the job done better and faster with PR's HC's and SR's? Not to mention using less ammo! 2.5% was too much, Bungie. Buff them back to half that. Restore 1% - 1.25% to AR damage and the weapon balance should be where it needs to be for all weapons to be comparable in both PVE and PVP. And people need to stop crying that certain weapons are too OP. Get better in Crucible. Play more raids to get better gear and learn to play better. Your crying is making the game worse for the people that actually want to be here and have put the effort into having tons of exotics and raid gear. At this rate, more and more vets are going to leave this game cause you're making it take longer to kill mobs in PVE to grind and it's BS. The combat used to feel visceral, and now it doesn't. It's like the difference between drinking a Budwieser and a Mic Ultra. It's just watered down piss, Bungie. FFS. All I have to say.

Edited by Recon SR2: 2/28/2015 6:16:16 PMThe High impact Auto Rifles lost way more than 2% damage. I'm not sure exactly how much it affected the peashooters. I can't really offer my own opinion on PvP, I don't really pay Crucible too much. I'm more of a PvE guy. But Suros Regime used to deal 36 to the head in Crucible, and now it deals 31. That is a 13% damage reduction. Maybe it was necessary in PvP, but it definitely was not necessary in PvE. For example, in PvE (against Tier-1 enemies) Suros Regime used to do 471 damage per headshot. After the patch, it deals 408 damage on the same enemies. That is approximately a 13.37% reduction in damage. It dealt 236 precision damage to Tier 2 enemies before the patch, now it deals 204 precision damage. Again, that is over a 13% decrease in damage. Edited for Typos.

Finally. Somebody else that understands math and doesn't believe the 2.5% BS.
-
Probably because they suck and the Nerf made them suck more.
-
It's also the third nerf on auto rifles...keep up
-
3 nerf and it still only takes 6-7 bullets to kill most people... oh well, maybe people do need that extra damage to be good
-
Compared to a two shot thorn? I don't think you understand the roles and purposes behind the weapons
-
U can't compare thorn to anything cause it's overpowered... it's like whining about dying to a heavy machine gun when u shot him with the suros... suros is basically the same and thorn is still the best
-
So why nerf auto rifles again? If they get out shot by hand cannons consistently at almost any range...example thorn. Why not nerf the thorn instead of the guns that are supposed to be the most well rounded and versatile weapons in the game? Now they are not well rounded because they can't hurt anything.

Agreed, I think auto rifles should have stayed where they were, maybe even needed a slight buff in my opinion. Suros, for example, actually at least competed with vex, thorn, hawkmoon, etc. now it doesn't even come close. It's just sad really. Bungie "replaced" auto rifles now rather than creating more "options" that they could have easily have done with the pulse rifle buff alone.

Yea I'm just pissed now because I loved my vanquisher whenever I did decide to play pvp. Not op, not up, but just right for my play style. And now I can't compete with anything. I still get two shot by thorn, and wrecked by the vex. Pre patch I could at least have a chance if I got the first couple rounds in, now it takes half of my 42 round mag to kill someone.
