Destiny "install update file" error fix.
I started Destiny today on a PS4 (One day after the developers update on 2/24/2015) and saw this. The update was in a unstoppable "loop".
To fix it:
Select "Settings"/"System Storage Management"/"Applications"
Then press the "Options" button.
Scroll till you see Destiny, press X to select it.
Then select "Delete" and OK.
If you have the disk, remove it and insert it again.
You will now need to update Destiny again. About 2.44GB.
All is fine now.
I'm not sure what caused this loop error, but thought I'd post it for anyone who may have experienced the same issue.

1 ReplyI'd like to bring another known fix to this issue to your attention op. Downloading the destiny shareplay theme has been heavily criticized because it also causes this issue. Simply deleting it clears this issue right up. Bungie has a page on it [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12601]here![/url]
