There are so many complaints because millions of copies of Destiny have been sold and it's a type of game that lends itself to forum posting. This game has a massive target audience spanning multiple game types (FPS, RPG, MMO ...etc) and there isn't really a direct competitor to compare/contrast this game to. Everquest was great because it was everything Ultima Online wasn't (IMO!) and WoW was great because it was a huge upgrade of the EQ experience. Destiny on the other hand has to have better PvP than Halo/CoD, Better loot than most MMO's or maybe Borderlands series and yet still accomplish this on a console which is for the most part an industry first. You factor all that with the development issues the game had which led to cut content and story line changes and you get a mixed bag of awesome moments and things that make you say WTF is that there for?
Better loot than most MMO's or maybe Borderlands series
better loot? Everyone has the same exact loot. Anyone that has been playing since day one has the same. Exact. Loot.

I was stating that destiny needed to have better loot than most MMO's or Borderlands type game. To be honest though, with how easy it is to dupe items in BL2, everyone has the same weapons in that game too.

Oh ok I see your point. Although I would argue that borderlands weapons are completley random there's over 17 million combinations, so although I know you can "cheat" your way into getting good weapons, they would all be diffrent.

True as well. I really wish Destinly had a little bit of that. Maybe have a chance at randomly dropping a void Icebreaker or an Arc GHorn. Raid weapons can stay locked in their perks but the geenral exotics should have more variety like the Legendaries from engrams do.
