Inventory Gap between Raiders & Non-Raiders is UNREASONABLE

If I speak to people that have been doing the raids for the majority of the time, they speak about hundreds of shards and energy. Not to mention their reaching Level 32 earlier and having weapons generally superior to counterparts in the Iron Banner, or via crucible drops. Its an unreasonable im-balance in player performance/acquisitions. I think Destiny would do well to either: (1) close the gap by greatly increasing the rewards for playing in crucible; or (2) just straight out announce that destiny is a Raiding & Nightfalling game and the Crucible is just an ancillary activity, so if players prefer the crucible, they should look to another game developer. EDIT: The reasons for Raiding or not-raiding are inconsequential.

I have mixed feelings about this, so this will probably jump around a little, but here are my thoughts on this: 1. There should be a way (even if it's only through events like Iron Banner) to hit 32 if you are a strictly PVP player. 2. In general, I love the Iron Banner weapons. I don't enjoy PVP, at this point I only play regular crucible for Exotic Bounties. Since DB came out, I've hit rank 5 in all the Iron Banner's because I wanted Efrideet's Spear, Timur's Lash, Radegast's Fury and Gheleon's Demise (my favorite legendary primary in the game). I think all of these weapons are fantastic and a large part of that is that with enough motes of light you can essentially guarantee good perks. Re-rolling is, to me, one of the most valuable things in the game. 3. With a few notable exceptions (Vex and Fatebringer) the advantages that raid weapons offer really don't matter to a PVP focused player. The main reason I like the primaries is that they have elemental damage (doesn't matter in the crucible) or the White Nail perk on Black Hammer (to me it seems nearly impossible to activate that while playing crucible, and special ammo is hardly even an issue anyway). 4. Crucible drops should be increased (including better ways to get ascendant material in the crucible) but only if there is some sort of ranked/level based play. Raids and Nightfall strikes are much more difficult than playing a standard crucible match (or even just grinding out five crucible matches). Even the strike playlists don't guarantee an engram unless you do them on the highest level. It would be nice if Bungie offered ranked playlists. In order to get guaranteed engrams you would have to play on the highest ranked level and win. The ranking system could be based on stats (to prevent AFKers from getting to the highest levels if they get lucky and their team keeps winning). Winning at the highest rank, would guarantee at least a blue engram with an increased chance for legendary/exotic. They could also include ascendant mats so people who only PVP would have a better chance to level up their legendary gear. The lower ranking playlists would see decreased odds and get more of the non-engram blue gear though there would still be a chance to pull an engram now and then. To me, this is the best way to make for more balanced drops while still ensuring that you need to be skilled (like you would have to be to complete a raid without a team of friends carrying you). tl;dr I agree with you on the low drop rates but think that they would need to make some changes to crucible before just increasing drop rates across the board. In general, I don't think the raid weapons (with a few notable exceptions) have much, if any, advantage over other legendries in PVP
