Says the guy with a sub 1 K/D. Maybe if you didn't die so much it wouldn't matter? Worry about staying alive and not what your team does.

Never said I was great or my kd was great. I actually been waiting on this comment lol my win lose ratio isn't too bad though

Captures mean nothing if you can't kill more than you die. I will take a good player over a bad player who follows rules (that are stupid). There is no right way. If your team is bad, they're bad. No matter what you capture or how you play it means nothing if the team is better.
-
Not necessarily true. If the opponent has all 3 cap points, everyone on your team would need a 3.0 kdr to break even. Simply having a positive 1.0+ kdr wouldn't suffice. So simply staying positive isn't sufficient to win a control game. Cap points matter.

Edited by ArticularAlloy: 2/24/2015 12:49:47 AMI have played many control matches. Rarely does one team have three points captured longer than for a few seconds. I have gotten my butt kicked in matches where we lost all the points and kicked the other teams butt when they had all the points captured. It means nothing at all. All it takes is one bad heavy spawn to lose the points and once their heavy is gone you will go back to kicking the crap out of the other team again. Most winning teams I play on we have like 3 captures each. Racking up points will always matter more than captures. You leave yourself vulnerable sitting at a point, especially if it's a few of you. Moving and killing will win you way more matches. Edit: I should add as a Bladedancer I LOVE teams who keep trying to capture everything. Sitting ducks. Lol

I agree that more points wins a control match, but I think you're misunderstanding the point of my post. Having more cap points allow you to get 2 to 3 times as many points per kill. Or in the reverse situation, half to a third as many points. That's the general principle behind a control match, which is why cap points do matter. They're a point multiplier for the whole team. I'm not saying cap points win a game, but they definitely help. Simply ignoring all cap points and just focusing on kills is a terrible strategy in most situations.

Perfect !!!

That's true. And I'm not butt hurt over it because I know I'm great. But 90% of the time if we have the right points I win and go positive. I never played crucibal much until recently because I suck. I'm gettin better though the more I play

What pisses me off about IB is when you're winning by like 1500-2000 points in the final couple of minutes and then like 30 seconds later you're losing. I swear these matches glitch. It happens way too much not to be a glitch. It also happens the other way where you're losing and then next think you know you're winning. They also should separate fire team players from random players. It's really unfair to the randoms, it's usually not even competitive.
-
They were suppose to start separating people but I can't tell any difference. I hate it when everybody is dead and it won't let you respawn so the other team captures everything
