Socialism works, within limits. I mean, the core principal is sound. Resolves the wealth gap, etc. I'm mostly for integrating it into other economic forms, to supplant the parts that hurt others.

Creating a ruling class fixes the wealth gap? Why is a presumed wealth gap in need of being "fixed?" Why is the wealth gap increasing as central planning increases? Tl;Dr read a book.
-
Socialism doesn't create a "ruling class". It simply distributes resources to everyone. So it reduces things like Homelessness, or massive gaps in education quality, etc. The Central Planning isn't the problem, anyways. The problem is more how the current economy works as a whole. "Spend money to make money". Problem is, some people don't have the money to spend.

You don't even understand what you're defending, do you? Try and make a coherent comment next time.
-
My comment was coherent. You seem to be misconstruing what I'm saying here. What I'm saying is elements of Socialism can benefit a society greatly. Look at Canada, or most of the European Union. Free, government-covered medical care, four years of college, etc. They're doing well.

If the government can create free things then why are we paying taxes?
-
It's not "creating free things". What it does is take those taxes, and put them towards taking care of people, rather than paying massive bonuses to politicians.
-
Taxes don't create bonuses and you were the one who mentioned that governments give "free" things. Forget it, this is going nowhere.
-
Taxes pay the government, who then pays it's employees. So yes, the taxes do pay for the bonuses. And I said 'provide'. That doesn't mean they make it. Also, you're right. You'll keep interpreting anything I say to suit your views.
