Edited by nafets13: 2/15/2015 9:07:13 PMTitan defender can create lots of orbs. With the melee, an orb for each melee kill while force barrier is active. Potential orbs for kills with heavy weapon. I think you just don't know the Titan's abilities... Edit: yep, you played only 1 day on your Titan

18 RepliesI agree. Hunter and warlocks all day. Titans suck dick. I can even barely get the relic out of gatekeepers before atheon without getting destroyed. Weakest character ever and that's lvl 32 as well.
-
5 RepliesI disagree; the Titans actually make damn good sword carriers as well... Most hunters can't even down crota in 2 swords with their invisibility yet I could with a Titan.... So....

2 RepliesEdited by SomePlasticSpork: 2/15/2015 8:46:04 PMHave you EVER played a raid? Oh, that's right, they give you the BEST GEAR IN THE GAME........DEFENDERS are the best in raids because they keep players from even having to self-res or be revived. They protect all allies.

The bubble protects and gives a considerable boost to weapon damage. Strikers Fist of havoc is extremely powerful Best jump in the game (my opinion) With two pulse grenades (the armamentarium) I can direct or block off enemy movements. But mostly it's a matter of wether or not the character, the feel, the attitude, of the class is right for you. I have a titan mindset so I like em. Got rid of my hunter for a second titan.
-
Obviously you haven't seen the crucible game where a team received unlimited supers. Try that out with 5 warlocks and/or hunters and only one titan and see how far that goes.
-
Love the titan class. I dont think hunters and warlocks are useless. I just don't care for them as much as a titan.
-
4 RepliesI agree completely that warlocks and hunters are way better. I had a Titan who I tried to level near the beginning of the game, and I played striker. My friend then told me that the subclass wanted for raids is defender. So I then tried defender and my mind was blown as to why anyone would want to just pop a bubble and then hide inside. It's way more beneficial for a hunter to use Golden Gun, or Blade Dancer or a warlock to nova bomb the shit out of enemies. When everyone dies in a nightfall, what saves the day? A warlock that can self rez, or a Titan hoping to be rescued Because of this, I deleted my Titan and have never been happier with my hunter and my warlock.

2 RepliesStopped reading after you started giving out areas in which they are useful.. Fail

I have a 32 of each class and in my opinion I think my favorite class to run in the raid is my Titan. Raids are meant to be a team effort and the Titan is the best class for supporting your team. I think that the Defender subclass easily outclasses all others due to its easy orb creation, different buffs it can give to allies, ability to produce a temporary safe zone, etc.

With enough titans you can kill crota with one sword on hardmode. Even without the one sword method I've had no trouble killing crota in two swords every single time as the swordbearer. If your PvE usefulness argument about the warlock includes self-res its already been made invalid. How is holding onto your super until you die more useful than staying alive in the first place? Warlocks are more useful to make orbs not run around with self-res spawning oversouls and other stupid things. When titans can use the shield to avoid dying in the first place while providing a buff and orbs for the team it makes self-res look pretty useless Hunters you said invisibilty is what make them better? Invisibility is useful for crota sure, but its not needed. As its just as easy to kill crota with any class... What else do you use invisibility for? To revive on a nightfall? The titan shield is just as good as that. I've saved hunters by putting a shield on their ghost as many times as they have invis-revived me. My point is that anything you can with other classes you can do with a titan, but there are things you can do with a titan that you can't do with other classes.

Well only 6% seem to agree with you. just because you are not good with one of the classes does not mean it's not useful. I hated playing with a warlock(even though warlocks can kick ass) but that doesn't instantly make them useless. I'll always go back to the old argument that Titans are the best class for team play. That's a given. So unless you like to solo everything, I'll never complain about playing with a Titan class.

Edited by NullFoX13: 2/15/2015 7:29:07 PMI partially agree. Why? Because only above average players can get the most out of a Titan.
-
Their ward of dawn is great for almost anything
-
I would say that the titans ward off dawn is the most useful super in the game
-
I can't tell you how many times I've saved my fireteam in the thrall maze with my bubbles using Saint-14, plus if you want to talk about close ranges supers, Hunters BD.. Really..
-
Using self rez is a joke lol
-
Titans provide a ton of support for any fireteam. In PvE, Titan is much more useful than Hunter in most situations. I have all 3 characters as well, and am quite familiar with each one's abilities. Hunter can only use BladeDancer to have invisibility and BladeDancer itself does not offer much against major enemies. The Hunter can be invisible, but won't be generating many orbs for the team. If you have to rely strictly on Warlock self res, once again you are really limiting yourself. All 3 characters have their uses, but in PvE Warlock and Titan are the best.

Damn 86% disapproval so far...

1 ReplyPurple boobies are great
-
Just so you know the titan does have more health than the other two classes.
-
It's funny because the classes are only as useless as the skill you have while playing them, don't be so ignorant. Inb4 "you only have two warlocks" I had all 3 classes level 30 before the dlc on 360 Then I upgraded to ps4 and don't play as much so I use 2 warlocks for better rng chances in the raid.

Bubbles. Nuff said.

1 ReplyI'm a warlock and I completely disagree. Me and my titan friend make an awesome team with his bubble and my nova bomb.

1 ReplyAt least I'm not a wuss who snipes their way out of things.

Defenders make excellent team support.
