All classes are awesome! I've beaten Crota on hard as sword runner with all 3 characters...
-
Titans are useless HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I want whatever you've been smoking buddy
-
Yeah you don't get to speak. Warlock is my personal preference, but I started with a Titan and it dominates the battlefield. You need a control point full of enemies taken out? Fist of Havoc and watch the orbs of light spawn. Want to take control of a point? Put up a shield and give your allies a boost (Or blind enemies with Helm of Saint-14). Shoulder charge is great for pvp since theres no other one-hit kills beside the supers for Titan. Do I really need to go into how essential the Titans are for strikes and raids?
-
Titans take skill...which apparently you don't have
-
Lol troll

1 ReplyFunny because most ppl say titans suck sure like to use our bubble when we pop it . I have 32 Hunter 32 warlock and 31 titan that will be 32 this week . Each class is fun and each class you need in the game . And each everybody here plays differ from each over . The hunters bladedancer op for the lamps .the warlock op for the 2 part .the titan and warlock op for the death singer . The hunters and titan for crota fight .

12 RepliesI love all three classes, however, I must say, when I'm playing against a Titan and they are about to "Fist of Havoc" me, it always reminds me of a kid throwing a massive tantrum. Hilarious as hell! Always makes me chuckle :)
-
All classes have their strengths and weaknesses. Everything is situational. Some are more useful than others in certain situations. PS. The close range melee doesn't matter for striker. Every heard of shoulder charge? Not to mention the shield you get when you play defender...and suppression grenade stops witches from attacking. Yeah, no titans def not useless lol
-
Bubble shield. My bro is a Titan and you have no idea how much that bubble saves me in nightfalls
-
5 RepliesOnce you mentioned how many times you used self Rez in nightfall, you immediately gave me a red flag on your facts. Just a question. You a Christmas noob? Cuz when VoG was at it's prime, people always asked for titans. They were definitely not useless. Weapons of light. Also now people are looking for them for Blessing of light for hp regen on Hard Crota. And striker? Blind grenade stops gatekeepers. Lightning grenade can hold control points in pvp. Health regen on punch kill. I'll also take fist of "panic" havoc in pve than GG. Three shots to kill a major? Nah I'll use my havoc and take out multiple majors (especially with aftershock or shockwave) You use self Rez on nightfall or invisibility in nightfall. I'll use tactics and still get the same result. If titans not for you, then that's all you had to say in your thread instead of saying useless lol.

1 ReplyEdited by Autumn_Chinook: 2/16/2015 2:34:36 PMSorry but everyone has a perk to their sub class. I personally enjoy my defender Titan even though my main man is a hunter. The perks and buffs of the bubble are amazing, the only downside is where to place the bubble in the heat of the battle.... Other than that, everyone has a role in the game.
-
1 ReplyBullshit ! Every class have something
-
They got a bubble
-
Yeah warlocks and self res are for little kids who die too much.
-
1 Reply"Hunter", "solo", "everything". They just go invis, run ahead, aggroing everything that screws the rest of us. Sure they're useful with Crota, but it's no necessity. On the other hand, unless your pro (which face it, hardly any of us are) Titans distracting boomers is a must have. I am prepared for the horde of butthurt hunter squishies
-
The titan is the only class I use and I think they are useful for everyone in raids although I see what you are saying. Their super charge is easily the least cool of all the classes.
-
Im Just here ??? More like hey i GIVE you extra damage or armor before getting out thé orgers Towers -blam!-in noob
-
All I have to say is "shoulder charge"
-
3 RepliesNext time we play, stay out of my protective bubble

1 ReplyLol the votes are speaking. Titan defender is imo the best PvE subclass in the game.

18 RepliesI'm not going to be offensive or anything, but it's a bit ignorant to say that Titans need more uses. Like, super ignorant. Titans are the only Class that can provide direct protection to their Teammates via Ward of Dawn. It is through them that the Impregnable Wall of Light is created, the same Wall that remains unfazed even in the face of beings like Atheon and Crota. No other Class can provide this type of Defense for their teammates. While saying that, there are only two classes that can buff their Teammates directly, the Warlock's Sunsinger with their fast grenade charge for everybody, and then the Titan's Defender who can apply an Overshield to their allies, or a 25% Damage buff to their weapons. Outside of the perk most Sunsingers abandon for their other selfish-type talents, Defenders serve their Teammates exceptionally well. In PvE, this is fantastic. While Hunter Supers/Abilities remain lacking in high level PvE content (besides invisibility), the Ward of Dawn continues to be incredible. It will never die, it's bonuses remain for as long as it remains. As far as the Striker Titan goes, it's zoning and grenade utility is virtually unmatched. Not only do the Lightning Grenades provide some of the greatest utility/damage in PvP, the Flashbangs perform incredibly against high leveled PvE enemies. The stun effect you get is amazing, especially if you run with the Armamentarium, giving you double Flashbangs, which means double stun potential. This can be applied to those Level 33 Knights, SwordBearers, Gatekeepers, and even Ir Yut in the Hard Mode Crota's End. It can stun groups of enemies, providing ample time for counter-attacks, or for regrouping. Adding to that, Strikers come with an Auto-Regen via Transfusion, where you get kills with Stormfist or Shoulder Charge to recharge health immediately. This is great in PvP, as well as certain situations in PvE. Despite what you think, Hunters aren't all that in PvE. The only ability they have that is remotely good for high level PvE is their invisibility. And even then, it's situational at best. Golden Gun fails to deliver ample kills with their 3-4 shots only taking out 1, maybe 2 Ultras/Majors. Arc Blade doesn't perform well at all, considering most enemies will melee the Light out of you by the time you try and tickle them. In PvP they might dominate, but PvE is where the Titans rule. And as far as Warlocks go, you talk mighty about their Self-Rez. When they do use that, they forgo the ability that helps their teammates. For the lack of a better word, I consider it the most selfish ability in the game. Before Gjallerhorn, it was the largest crutch in the game for Warlocks who needed that second chance to perform at peak condition. It helps, but it only helps them. You can argue their ability to stay alive helps for certain situations, but I'll take a Titan who can preserve a Team's life over a Warlock that can die to rez himself any day of the week. Every Class has their strengths and weaknesses. I did slander against Hunters and Warlocks in this post, but I will not deny their strengths. Hunters possess vastly superior PvP ability, while Warlocks have a wide variety of tricks that employ themselves well in PvE. Both of them have Blink, which is a Pro in itself. But when people go around making posts about "Useless Titans", it makes me scoff. To call the uncontested "Support Class" of Destiny useless is just like trying to argue No Land Beyond as a viable weapon for competitive play. Open up a bit more, and maybe you'll begin to acknowledge the power Titans like I have to offer to any Fireteam.

3 RepliesEdited by Oz70NYC: 2/16/2015 8:58:59 AMAs an expert and experienced Titan, after reading your passage I'm left wondering if you even know what the hell you're talking about. If you have to ask what are the uses of the Titan class, clearly you've not spent adequate time playing as a Titan. I imagine the only reason your Titan is level 31 is because you stockpiled Titan gear from engrams and materials earned with your other Guardians. Because if you'd spent anything more then the initial grind to level 20 as a Titan, you'd know it's end-game strengths. I'm not even going to entertain explaining them to you, because it'd be a waste of time. You've based your bias on baseless and cosmetic factors that are in a word...frivolous. Hence forth, I won't even gratify you with a worthwhile response IF you even muster the courage to actually do so. Chances are you won't. People with your obvious outlook tend to be cowards when called out on their jaded, misconstrued opinions. A waste is a terrible thing to mind.
