10. Vanguard & Crucible "Vaults"
The Vanguard Armory was, in my opinion, a dirty trick to get preorders. I'll be blunt as hell about it; it was painted as if it was some secret access to some sweet, powerful gear, and ended up being useless outside of getting an early heavy weapon. By the time I noticed it in game I was already using better gear than what was inside, so really, what was the point? Nothing really, but there can be. Technically speaking Vanguard/Crucible gear isn't as good as than Raid/IB/(Queen's Wrath, bring it back dammit!) gear. Yes, I know, TDB and general Bungie d-baggery, hear me out. I'm suggesting that the concept behind the Vanguard Armory be designated to creating gear that IS in that higher league. The way the Vanguard Armory currently works is that is has one of each weapon and a helmet (Stratus White, Chroma White, or Agema White), all uncommon. In the new Vanguard and Crucible Vaults, that gear is at Raid level, and the helmets get an extra perk that boosts reputation and experience gains from their respective activities. The respective Quartermasters sell this gear, but to get access you must complete a multistage bounty showing your prowess in the field or in the Crucible. As early as rank 1 you can accept the bounty from your Mentor or Shaxx and chip away at it until you complete it. The point of this is, as I like to try for in this post, to expand the amount of ways we can get really good gear. Is that bad? :D Besides, you think that Shaxx is going to let Saladin have all the good shit?
BTW, I'd call the helmets for the Crucible Vault Nimbus Black (Hunter), Ignus Black (Warlock), and Myrmidon Black (Titan)
