I would not buy an Xbox One if you have no good reason for it, I have and Xbox because all my friends play on it and they make good raiding buddies, and I would not buy a PS4 because I wouldn't have anyone to play with and I would be unnecessarily playing $400 and monthly service fees. Same idea parallels to your case, if you have no good reason to buy and Xbox one, then don't just buy it to have it.
