What's not to like about the Xbox?
It syncs with your cable box and allows you to lose your TV, cable and sound system remotes without worry. (Perfect if you have kids)
You can not only control it with your voice but if people are being loud you can grab your controller, phone or tablet to change channels or what ever you might be doing.
You can watch TV/listen to music and play games at the same time on the same screen.
It plays video games.
The online service is cheap. (I guess that's relative to how cheap people are but I think it's reasonable, haha.)
The online service has more security and up time compared to Sony's.
When Windows 10 drops you will be able to stream your games to your laptop/pc and watch TV in its full sized glory so your wife can stop glaring at you for hogging the TV.
It has great apps. Great community. It's easy to use.
I have the Day One Edition and have never had any problems that unplugging the system and plugging it back in couldn't fix.
I honestly think it's a great investment. Even if you decide you aren't going to use it for gaming, it's really quite handy in just the entertainment aspect alone.
Edit: Forgot, it's control is the best! I can play for hours and have dry, non-cramped hands.
Plus, if you have kids it's really funny watching them try to do voice commands and getting pissed off that it only seems to work for adults.
