I bought an xb1 fit titanfall. Bunch of accessories and so forth. 2 months later I sold it all for half what I had in it.
This is just my experience. The games are ruined by people constantly trying to talk to it and it listens slightly worse than text to talk. Half the time in my home page the apps and things wouldn't load, or were down. Parts of xbox live can go down, instead of the whole thing like psn. Considering it costs money I expected better.
Console wise I wasn't impressed. Better than my ps3, yeah technically. I'm still playing my ps3 though. I think I finally learned my lesson. I've had all 3 versions of xbox, they just aren't for me. Not too mention I hate the controller.

I've been around 3 different versions of the xbox one console. the launch one, mine I got in July with out kinect, and the terabyte advanced warfare one and haven't experienced any of the problems you're claiming. they're are some problems with opening too many apps and the instant on feature BUT turning on the power saving mode resolved all my issues of apps lagging. as long as you take care if your equipment you shouldn't run into hardware issues. don't drop your xbox or jam it in a entertainment unit with no air circulation.

why do you have so many? seems totally unnecessary

I've been around 3. so I've played on different versions multiple times. I never said owned.
