I wouldn't call the consoles even. Not even close. I also wouldn't compare an Xbone and PS3. Why would you even do that? Of course it blows the PS3 out of the water. Wait until you get a ps4. You will want to drop that XB in a bathtub

I only compared due to them being what I had in house and the fact that the PS3 was the superior media streaming console. I could have said that the PS3 was still better in that aspect which would have totally meant something. I understand that the Xbone should be far superior than the PS3.. I was just pointing out what I experienced. Having owned both the 360 and the PS3, I find it hard to believe that the PS4 would push out that much further in superiority. I stand by my answer of them being equal. Feeling one is better than the other is nothing more than opinion, my point was that anybody can be happy with either of them. And when I do purchase a PS4 here shortly, I will bet that the Xbone still stands slightly higher on my list than the PS4... PS1 and PS2 were revolutionary... M$ really pulled it off with the 360 though...

I have no disagreement about the 360 and PS3. 360 was the superior console and had superior exclusives. Now that I own both of the current gen systems, I would say it is a flip flop as far as games go. The ps4 consistently performs better graphically, but in the end, I don't think that matters too much. It's all about games at this point. I think MS is working hard to correct the lack of games, and maybe by next year, I will feel like they are equal.

I will say that I have heard a lot of people say exactly what you just said (360>ps3... xbone<ps4).. but what I hear even more is people complaining about PSN being constantly down... I will grab a PS4 so I can come to my own conclusion... Gamestop had a deal almost too good to pass up on one this weekend... but i think i will pass for a bit still...

Typical fanboy. Either system is fine. It's just a matter of preference for most. Personally, I like the xbox controller more than playstations.

I'm a typical fanboy because I didn't understand the poster comparing a current gen console to a last gen? Wow! I have both consoles, so I am not a fanboy of either. I happen to like my ps4 much more, but it is from personal experience and not from being a fan of one or the other

So what you're saying isn't based on fact, but merely your opinion. Hmm, that's what I thought.

If that's how you want to paint it. Regardless, the guy I replied to was saying that an Xbox one was a superior console because it was better than his PS3. So I just wonder what is the point of that comparison? It is only valid if someone is asking if they should buy an Xbox one to replace their PS3. It is not valid when the OP says he has a ps4 and wonders of it is worth it to buy an Xbox one also. I think you're just trying to get a rise out of me. That's cool. I get it. I would venture to say that any discussion such as this will not be based on many facts. Especially since the guy was asking for opinions, lol.

Reading that essay, id say my statement did get a rise out of you, even though it wasn't my intent. I merely expressed that your opinion of why ps4 is better than xbox is just that...an opinion. I wouldn't compare last gen consoles to next gen because that is apples to oranges. You are defending something that quite frankly doesn't matter. I said both consoles are good, leave it at that.

I am so confused by your posts. I never said my opinion was fact. Neither did I compare current gen to last gen. That was someone else. Calling me a fanboy was inexplicable. I was basing my comment about ps4 upon the fact that I own both consoles. Which, is the exact opposite of fanboyism. In the end, it is definitely an opinion, but I think it is an informed one. At least, informed by my time with both, and the fact that I have given each one a test drive. I like a lot of things about my X1, but the lack of games that are exclusive to that console is a huge problem, IMO. Also, in my experience, the games that I tried for both, ran slightly better on the PS4. I still don't think that is enough to call either one better, but my point was that, I don't think you can call the X1 better by any means.
