Why haven't we seen brutes using plasma pistols?
Brutes and elites sometimes use plasma pistols as sidearms, but we've never seen this is game. In Halo 2 you would find elites using plasma pistols.
Why do you think this is?

Too powerful to begin with. They didn't trust them with good weaponry. They could already fight pretty well on their own, so the Elites gave good guns to the troops that needed them.

I tend to get killed by enemy melee the most in Reach. Seriously, the melee speeds are crazy, but I like them from a game play perspective. As for the PP, their fingers might be too big to use it. [Edited on 07.18.2012 1:21 AM PDT]
