Legalize it. Drugs a problem? Legalize it and no one will care. Weapon regulations a problem? Legalize them all and no one will over arm themselves. It's even been proven that people are better drivers when they are unregulated by signs. So flood give me a good reason as to why the government doesn't at least try this.
Mods:Lock this if you find it to be against the rules and or it gets out of hand. I'm hoping the flood can remain civil but, well it's the flood.

Haven't you noticed anarchy has never worked. Thats why there are no anarchist governments

It's funny how nearly everyone immediately though the worst things possible will happen. Shows how much fear you live in and don't even know it. If murder was legal, I still wouldn't kill people. If meth was legal, I still wouldn't do it. The only reason most laws even exist is to make money.
Posted by: dahuterschuter Treason a problem? Legalise it. Murder a problem? Legalise it. Robbery a problem? Legalise it. Assault a problem? Legalise it.
This = Uncivilised country.

Treason a problem? Legalize it. Murder a problem? Legalize it. Robbery a problem? Legalize it. Assault a problem? Legalize it.
Posted by: Taconomicon Because some people are too stupid to know what's a bad idea, and will end up hurting others.
This. Murder is a problem. Should we legalize it as well? Hell no. Then Joe will kill Bob for flirting with Jenny at work because Joe secretly wanted to bone Jenny. But then Bob's brother kills Joe for killing Bob. Then Joe's brother kills Bob's brother for killing Joe. The cycle continues and no one steps in because it is legal. [Edited on 06.17.2012 12:30 PM PDT]

His solution to problems is to legalize them, which is clearly stated in the title and OP. This implies that any problem in society can be solved by making it legal. Too many murders in the state? Lets give everyone a free pass to kill anyone. -blam!- getting out of hand? Good news; consent is no longer needed!
Posted by: Otter416 lol. He never said anything about 'legalizing murder' or the such. It's a fact that legalized drugs decline in popularity in the long term. There is no Rational counterargument.
Yeah, let's legalize ignoring human rights! Yeah, let's legalize DUI! Yeah, let's legalize not listening to traffic lights! Yeah, let's legalize thievery! Yeah, let's legalize illegal immigration and let drug cartels and terrorists thrive! Yeah, let's listen to teenagers without high school diplomas and master's degrees in law-making and politics!
Posted by: Taconomicon Because some people are too stupid to know what's a bad idea, and will end up hurting others.
Exactly. Common sense is rare as it is.

There's a limit to everything. To much laws, and people will break them more. To little, you get a State of Nature.
-
Because America was founded on the principle that the King didn't have enough rules. Think about it.
-
WOW..... i actually agree with this.
-
Murder a problem? -blam!- it, let's kill the -blam!- out of each other.
-
This is a horrible idea. Let's give our children sniper rifles and flamethrowers while they're at it, let's legalize EVERYTHING!
Posted by: tsujen
Posted by: Otter416 It's a fact that legalized drugs decline in popularity in the long term.
So alcohols popularity has declined? Don't think so.
Well certainly since before/during prohibition era it did...

This is the dumbest blanket "solution" of all time.
Posted by: Black Eagle X99 So flood give me a good reason as to why the government doesn't at least try this.
Because it would render hundreds of thousands of Government jobs unnecessary and save billions of dollars in taxes and possibly create additional revenue taking us out of debt and returning us to prosperity. But, the government is not in the business of making money so they aren't saddled with the complications of doing things that make sense.
