Kids aren't allowed to make mistakes anymore

If you make a mistake, like being 18 drinking at a party next to a 17 year old, boom. Criminal record. Girlfriend sends you pic of her naked? Boom. Registered sex offender, work at Target for the rest of your life. The list goes on. Is it me, or if a kid makes a mistake, the rest of his life if screwed over? Is this fair?

Criminal record.
Well, first of all, at 18 you're not a kid anymore; you're an adult. Secondly, when has this ever happened? Pretty sure being in the vicinity of a minor isn't illegal.
My cousin, who is a good kid and 18 at the time, was drinking at a party in college, then a girl who was 17 but lied and said she was 18 came up to him and they were drinking and talking. The next day, she claimed she was r-a-ped by him. After he was found not guilty of -blam!-, he was still charged with "Corrupting the morals of a minor", put under house arrest for 6 weeks and then probation for five years. He just graduated, and the only reason he has a job is because a lot of people in our family work for the same big corporation and got him a job.
Oh wow.
