Hit my limit with latency in crucible
5 out of 7 of my matches last night had some of the worse latency. I have experienced the most of latency issues throughout the last month or so. I am sure I do not have to explain to most of you. When you see someone appear in one spot then they are off the map...then back to the right of you somewhere. Or when you shoot someone, get hit marks, after you are dead....then you see their health go from full to empty and die for a post mortem.... When you throw a grenade...it makes the action of throwing a grenade but it doesn't until 4 seconds later... By that time everyone is in a different spot than where you saw them.
The crucible has gone from fun to straight out pissing everyone off to being laughable where there is a competition between friends to see who can video capture the most bizarre things.
I am not sure if this is related but people are getting removed from the game world a lot more than I have ever saw and having trouble joining fire teams as well.

6 RepliesYeah I just straight up rage quit out of Destiny last night and went to play BF Hardline beta. When I missed 3/4 golden gun shots that I know hit their targets that was it, I just lost it. Bungie has GOT TO FIX THE LAG. I'm sick of all the nonsense, people surviving supers, shooting me through solid walls, surviving point blank shotgun blasts or Trip Mines with like 1% HP etc. Shit I even hit a guy the other day with a shoulder tackle and followed it up with a blast from Found Verdict and he took absolutely no damage, turned around and shot me with his Golden Gun. Enough with the red bar = unkillable nonsense, it's supposed to be the other way around I have never played a game before where the person with the worst connection is an unstoppable monster.

I should have read this comment before posting one I just wrote about how some players seem to be impervious to damage. What you're describing is along the lines of what I have experienced, and it is annoying and frustrating.

4 RepliesWell to be fair Destiny is busy buffing pulse rifles and nerfing essentially everything else - Oh and they have that one guy working on the ammo glitch. So they can't possibly be expected to take on the lag issue too........

I've played two matches in my career where a Heavy Ammo box wouldn't open. The first time was on Blind Watch Control (on the circular outside spawn), and it opened after about 30 seconds. The second time was on Asylum Clash, on the inside spawn. This one never opened.

This has only ever happened to me once or twice but never throughout a whole match or anything like that... that's weird

Holy crap. Just had a control match that everyone was red barred. Everyone was hopping around the map. Lucky for me the way I was lagging was beneficial. My buddy on the other hand was just dying all over the place and said he rarily saw anyone.

I normally only pvp during iron banners, but i did notice alot more lag in the last one. Even I had some a few times. Turn off ps4 and went back it was normal again, i never had problems previously.

I've been having the issue for the fast month. I love destiny. But these issues are just running all the fun. My Xbox multiplayer connection is performing well. The only change I own that's having issues is destiny. I can only assume destiny servers have been crashing. Today my team won a crucible match it was the last win of 20 I needed for my bounty. Did I receive the win. Nope. I've made several kills back to back only to end up disappointed in the end to find out the person I thought I was getting wasn't even there. It's so upsetting.

They probably turned down the bandwidth on everybody except DeeJ so he could get a few kills in that stupid event they put on.

2 RepliesUnfortunately Bungie using P2P networking for the crucible doesn't help either. Hopefully with Destiny 2 they switch everything to Dedicated servers. It wouldn't be completely lag free but it will help a lot

Are lagswitches part of the problem? I dont know im only asking crucible was the 1st thing i thought of when i realised kids were gonna be getting lagswitches for crota. Its always been a laggy mess for me

The poor servers have to probability match three Americans with some dude in New Zealand, and another in Germany. The pings are all over the place. I cut my playtime in Crucible because rewards are too few and far between. There's no carrot that makes me go for more than a couple of matches. The glitches are becoming annoying as well. Sad, because Crucible was the main reason I stuck with this game. I don't raid. Battlefield Hardline can't come soon enough.

Lots of lagmench soaking up damage only to turn around a few seconds later with not a scratch on their shields and killing me. And of course the obligatory lag-teleport.

Seems to be getting worse...i hear PvP players crying "nerf this, nerf that" but never make mention of some of the crazy network related issues...i've noticed that it get extremely bad on Sundays, i've mentioned this before but everyone's busy crying about which class or super is overpowered

1 ReplyI think there was something up last night, I was online in Crucible and also in party chat, not even in the same matches as my friends and we ALL had huge connection issues, to the point that everyone's connection to the game was poor, the whole roster, after 3 games of it hoping it would get better we quit and went and played Dying Light instead. There is always a problem in Crucible with lag cheaters, lag switchers, and people with useless connections effectively being invincible for 5-10 seconds after you inflict lethal damage on them (hello if I super them, fusion rifle them twice and empty a mag of heavy into them they should not be able to run around and melee me and three of my team to death before they fall down and I get a kill with the super (I know that's what the kill was because of the points allocation)) that Bungie consistently refuses to tackle but last night seemed to be a system wide failure.
