Suros vs Hardlight

Hello guardians, many of my friends can't decide between suros or hardlight to occupy their primary slot. and that's what this article is for. Let's start with PvE. Hardlight shines in this area if you're not good with a scout rifle and like weapons such as atheons epilouge. You can mawl down waves of enemies with little to no effort, due to its high rate of fire and low impact, but when you come to a tier 2 enemy things get a little more difficult. It takes one clip to bring down their shields, and another for their health. and since this is a high rate of fire weapon the accuracy and range are minimal, so you have to empty your clip at close to point blank range. Suros, however is better at this aspect. You can stay at range, and with the focused fire perk unleash more damage without reloading thus his shields won't recharge. and with suros if you scope out and walk into a mob of tier one enemies you can spray and pray and get almost as many kills as hardlight. However suros is not good with say thralls or mobs of any other tier one enemy at a decent range, because to mob down those vandal bastards at long range you have to zoom in which decreases your rate of fire a significant amount. final verdict: for raids, mainly the thrall encounter in Crota's End, Hardlight takes the gold. However for the last boss on both raids you should switch to suros, just so you can stay at bay and not die at the most critical part. But for strikes, mainly sepiks prime suros is going to be your best option. Now lets move onto pvp, and this time let's start wit suros. suros regime preforms almost identically to a scout rifle, with the range being the key differencing factor. But in most pvp maps the encounter areas are medium to maybe long range, and this is suros's sweet spot. With the incredibly low recoil and the perfect range you can take down enemies from pulse-scout rifle ranges. Hardlight however is the complete opposite, which makes it shine in rumble and skirmish maps. When you walk around a corner only to be met by the barrel of an approaching guardian's shotgun, your only instinct is to jump, aim down, and hope for the best. and with hardlight this tactic is incredibly easy. Final verdict: suros. for everything. in skirmish matches have a shotgun ready though, but suros is a close to mid-long range auto rifle that can take down enemies before they have time to ask peter dinklage what the hell's going on. I hope this article was useful to you, and good luck in your travels, Guardian. BTW reply with more weapons for me to review, compare and contrast.
