Im not going to pretend and say I read the thread so take this as you will:
It's entirely possibly Bungie is lying/ and or egging everyone on. Knowing how crazy their fanbase is, it is pretty amusing watching people go nuts over hidden eggs. Dev's have done it before. See the Pendant in dark souls
