hi i am new here and would like to ask a question which may not be appropriate for this forum but here goes anyway, this morning i received a " complete the survey " message offering a new car etc as a prize my question is what do these people do with these email etc addresses , who buys them from them , or does some advertising company pay them for what they gather and if so , how much ? the message came from a company here in Australia , they quoted various state government permit numbers so they must be genuine , for those who do not know , you will not get a state government permit to promote something like this here in Australia that does not meet a myriad of requirements , and that is a fact. so how do they make money out of such a promotion ,specifics rather than a generalisation would be appreciated , thanks donar
