Other than Tf2, which is pretty much only half exlcusive, and idnie games which I don't generally like, what does PC have to offer?
I love RPGs, Co-op, and singleplayer games, but is it worth it to get a gaming PC for modding support?
(besides any RTS that's worth a damn)
(I dislike DotA style games)
(I hate MMOs)
(I have Starcraft 2)
(( does anyone even bother to read the op?))
But see, instead of all that, I could just get an xbox + live for $250 and be set for the next few years. Call me what you will, but that seems practical and efficient to me.
IDK to me gaming on a PC in the long run is saving me more than a console. Now don't get me wrong I play both but most of the games I got off of Steam were dirt cheap. I remember during their Halloween sale I was able to get about 12 games for less than $90. If you ask me that is pretty good. They have sales alot as well. Major holidays, weekend sales, midweek sales. Also I like that I don't have to pay $60 every year to be able to play online.
I'm not one of those people who buy 15 games a year, last year I bought: Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 2, and Halo Reach. I didn't buy Xbox live, it was a gift. I got most of those games for $20-$50 anyways.
...ok? You don't have to buy 15 games a year......I'm just saying in the long run you might find PC gaming to not be as expensive as you may think. I got the first 3 games you listed off of steam for less than $10 each.
