This Is Why We Don't Have Trading. -DeeJ
So I saw this video on the forums. It's a great video overall but a lot of people ask why we don't have trading and at 8:41 in the video he tell's you pretty much why. Overall a great video might answer some things you were wondering about as well.

3 RepliesDestiny doesn't need trading because there aren't enough weapons or anything much class specific to warrant it. Most games with trading have thousands upon thousands of items while destiny has maybe a couple of hundred.

Everyone knows that if they add trading someone will come up with a way to trade but keep the gun he traded and get the gun the other guy traded. He'll end up with both guns in the end and everyone knows damn well.

You can't trade raid weapons/gear only with someone who has raid gear/weapons, can't trade the vex because the drop is very rare they should do something like that to make game more fun like borderlands I'm bump it coming to next gen in a few months yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!

Instead of a trade system they need a loan system, where you can loan your weapons to a friend during a strike or Raid.

1 ReplyThe real reason they don't have trading is because bungie already knows they lack content and bringing trading would allow everyone to get to end game status within 2 days. (It already takes only a week to get to level 31)

Deej's response and bungies reasoning for no trading means nothing to me. They want you to have a story about how you earned the exotic? I've already bought like 15-20 exotics from Xur it feels like at this point... I got plan c earlier in the nightfall. I don't even care, wasn't excited nor do I care about the story of getting it. I didn't have it before but getting it was more like. Oh? I got plan c? Cool it has nice impact. That was the extent of my excitement. Do I have a memorable story for it? No. We did the same strike we have done multiple times before with new mutators. Got pissed at the almost endless stream of arc bolts that wizards like to fire off like it's going out of style and boomers that boom the shit out of you constantly. Got to phogoth and proceeded to cheese him because -blam!- that shit fighting inside there with arc burn on AND light switch AND epic. I have no memorable story for any of my exotics. Your full of it bungie.

When RNG is the sole reward mechanic for loot, you can only EARN through time spent playing the game. Difficulty/skill required has no weight in the equation. The more time spent playing, the more rewards you'll see. Classic conditioning.
