3 questions :
a) why do I lose heavy ammunition on death, even if that ammo came from a synth?
b) if I lose ammo on death, why isn't the synth timer reset on death as well?
c) why do different synthesis items have the same cooldown timer for different ammo types?
Bungie, here's the scenario. You get to a boss. You use heavy ammo synthesis. You die. You lose heavy ammo you just created. After respawn you try to create more heavy ammo to cover what the game took, but can't because the synth timer is still ticking from previous life. So you think, well, if I can't blast him with rockets I'll snipe him. Try to create special ammo from synth, but can't do that either because it is sharing a timer with heavy >.< Guess I'll throw stones and bad jokes then.
In an encounter like hard Aetheon fight this is an infuriating punishment cycle.
What is the reasoning behind these design decisions?
