It just made sense that they could use their most profitable franchise to win gamers over while keeping the newest in that franchise (Halo 3) as a Xbox 360 exclusive. If they were to port another Halo, they would need a good excuse to do it. As of right now, there's no real mention of anything that would suggest otherwise.
