Will you stop playing Destiny?
If the Exotic Upgrades and/or Commendations changes are put into effect, will you quit?
Personally, I've been waiting for a reason to pick up AC: Unity.
*EDIT* It won't let me add a "maybe" option. I suppose I'll be reserving judgement to see if the new content is enough to outweigh this bullshit.
*EDIT 2* For those of you arguing that it's a choice and we don't have to upgrade consider this: you could wait until you get a TDB Exotic so you don't need to rexurbish, but you may never get one you want. There are people still hoping to get Heart of Praxic Fire, for Christ's sake. That means, without upgrading you're [b]either [/b]already level 30 and are counting on being able to get some combination of new Raid Gear and Exotics in order to hit level 32 and are trusting that they are all items you enjoy using, [b]or [/b]you're a level 29 who is either going to continue running VoG until they have enough obsolete gear to hit 30 before they run Crota's End, [b]or [/b]you're a level 29 who has a level 30 friend willing to take you into a brand new raid without their whole Fireteam being the minimum level for a less than insane run.

2 RepliesI don't have a problem with change. I will attempt to adapt. If I don't like the changes, I will stop playing. Simple. Right now feels like more of a struggle to do stuff because I don't want to spend anything or level up vendors until the new system is in place. But it's just a few more days...

Well if after the first two dlcs they are still coming out with more and charging us for them then I'll stop playing. This game is not worth THAT much money. Besides this game should be huge off the bat.

There's already a sequel in the works. I might stop for a period of time but Bungie already said that Player Progress will carry over. I'm attached to all the characters I've worked on so far and would like to see them go through the second game.

Progress resets, item and material obsolescence, introduction of new currencies, and stalling hard mode are all meant to slowly drip feed you the new content over time in an attempt to keep you playing without realizing that you paid $20 for 2 hours worth of new stuff, much of which is already a rehash of the content we experienced.

3 RepliesBungie is updating all of the gear In the tower to be able to give players level 30. Easy enough. Use your ascendant shards on that, then do the extremely easy task of completing the heroic strikes on a few characters and you'll have a few exotic shards. Break down exotics you don't use, even more shards. The time it'll take to re-level an exotic won't be too bad especially with telemetrys and bounties, they're easier to upgrade than ever, and they will be much stronger. I don't see why people bother to quit because of this or complain and demand this be changed aside from them feeling they "deserve" to be given the exotic upgrade without re-leveling because they were playing from the start and they're too damn lazy to put effort into getting stronger weapons. The toughest thing in life; "I want it but I don't want to put in effort!"

5 RepliesI'm going to wait a bit to see how much of a difference the reset will make... If I have to spend one day on each weapon to bring it back to max then I might put this game away... I played hard to max my gear so that it could be smooth sailing from there on, Bungie is not going to make me redo something I already did just because they lack imagination.

Picked up Dragon Age which is pretty sweet when you get into it. Won't completely quit Destiny, it's still going to be a Tuesday / Friday game (ie. nightfall, weekly, 2 raids / see what Xur has.)

I stopped because there's just other games I've been playing. Also, there's really nothing in Destiny right now that makes me want to play. Maybe when they update it more, I will come back. As of right now, KH 2.5 has my attention.

1 ReplyThe exotic changes really aren't that big of a deal. People are making too much of it. Definitely not annoying enough to make me quit the game altogether. I think that most of the Destiny bashers simply don't WANT to like the game, so no matter what Bungie does they will whine.

5 RepliesI question myself why I continue to play daily. But not for the reasons you gave. When the last IB went live and that "accidental" nerfing reduced my beloved thorn to a hunk of metal, i quit until bungie decided to get off their collective @ss and fix the "mistake". Making a generalized decision on hearsay and theory is foolish. Wait until the dlc drops and have real facts to back up your decision.

11 Repliesand if the math follows. lvl 30 is the new lvl 28, and I was definitely running the normal raid at lvl 27. which should now be the equivalent of lvl 29

um, why do you have to go straight to the raid.. there will be new drops in cruible, weekly heroic, nightfall, and strike playlist and those drops, even the legendaries, will get you to/past 30.. not to mention all of the vendors that will be selling lvl 30+ gear. remember it was only the last light level that couldn't be reached without raid gear.. so why you think you're stuck at lvl 30 without new raid gear is beyond me.. oh and I forgot to add the iron banner dropping right after the dlc.. with lvl 31 light gear...
