People have been saying that Bungie has created a map on Avalanche called Travlers, and if you complete it , you get recon. I really don't care about recon, i really want security. I have the map, but I don't know if they are telling me the truth. I don't want to waste my time trying to finish it. Its a hard map, but I have seen someone complete it. Hey Bungie, have you been working out? :P Seriously though, It's...difficult to understand how someone could just...do that. Difficult and deeply troubling. There are so many good people in the community - even a lot of the very annoying, angry, spastic people online are still essentially [i]good people[/i]. It's just...wow. How could someone...do that and not realize/care that they just 1) Dishonoured every Fighting man or woman who has sacrificed their lives in these wars; and 2) Made it now impossible for someone who has actually experienced such a tragedy with a loved one who had such a situation, who emails and very carefully, kindly ask for such a favor. Well, frankly, the idea of having to impress Bungie for Recon is an interesting idea but with a severe flaw. The local noob who constantly asks for it. I think it puts too much pressure on Bungie and I'm betting they're tired of seeing e-mails and messages popping up every 5 seconds asking for the armor. Hmmm, I have a suggestion. In the period between now and the next map pack, update, ect., anyone who asks for Recon will not get it until the next next update. So, as long as the player behaves, he can get the armor. A little reward for those who DON'T plague Bungie with 'can i has reconz'. This is NOT a request for Recon, it's a suggestion to HELP stop the noobs bugging Bungie. Recon is amazing and all, i do wish i had it, but know the sad truth i probly nvr will. what i am ondering however, is in the event that Recon ever did go universally free [with an exception of the naughty list] would you replace the elusive recon with another set of armour everyone would strive to get. something new... and as an extended question, has anyone began work on a new armour varient? please respond. i am curious. if the answer to the last question is yes. i have some personal conversations i'd like to have with you in similar regards.

I would be amazed if Bungie could make 13 more separate campaigns. I say 13 because you can already play campaign as Master Chief, Spartan 117. Or the Arbiter,(in multi-player). Still you could be wondering what has 13 have to due with anything. Alright, so we all know you can unlock 8 different Spartan Helmets, Bodies, and lastly Shoulders. Although, you do not unlock C.Q.B., you obtain it on default. Possibly instead of just pushing your way through the levels of campaign using the original (not "attractive")armor. You think: 'I wish I could wear the armor I unlocked. Shouldn't I be able to? Since i spent so much time on it?!' I say you should be able to since you did rightfully obtain it. Now, you can put your armor on. You scroll through and put on E.V.A.. Out of curiosity, you read the descriptions on E.V.A Permutations. "The Mjolnir/V variant was developed and tested at UNSC facilities in Lister, Aigburth on Ganymede, integrating feedback gathered from the Summa Deep Space incident" Now you're wondering what the "Deep Space incident"was. Now instead of wondering, you can play it and find out. Although the [b] NEW [/i] campaign levels to explain what really happened to create a new permutation would not be as long as wished, they will shed light on the events in Halo's history and beyond. I myself have no recollection on how even the most common helmets and body permutations were put into service but possibly, bungie may. I would love to relive and actually play the scene where Spartan 117 encounters the very first Elite in with Sam and Kelly. I believe Sam had E.V.A and so did John. That could possibly be part of a future level in the Halo trilogy. Bungie could order the levels of explanation into one entire campaign or players could discover the truth about a certain armor instead of playing all the way through. I really hope the Bungie staff will read this and it will be passed through because I am convinced that Millions of players are suspicious of the permutation "HAYBUSA" The trilogy will continue with this add-on. Eh I've never seen someone on matchmaking with RECON and probably never will :[ I'm happy with rogue and the helmets i can unlock. i would be happy if bungie could make a "RECON" for the Elites. I wish i could think of a way to get RECON but unfortunately I never will. Like most of the Halo 3 players who are reading this. I'll just think of a good idea hopefully. Happy Hunting!!

Sure, you can film yourself and look at your exploits from many dramatic angles in Theatre, you may even create montages of your "madskillz" and upload them to YouTube where they will most likely be ignored by a community who regard your self-promotion as narcissism. I suppose you might wear Recon to impress others on your team, or 'strike fear into the hearts of your enemy' - but that is kind of a false inference as it has already been shown that people have got the armor variant for silly exploits, like committing suicide with a traffic cone, which is (let's face it) hardly something that points to you being a "dangerous guy to know..." Actually, Bungie have messed-up this whole Recon armor thing. For what they award it for, they should have made it a [b]discretionary achievement[/b], or an extremely rare medal-thing that you only get to add o your service record if they remotely unlock it. Obviously, there are going to be weird circumstances arising from the gameplay and the Havoc physics system that amuse Bungie and are not strictly rewarded by the rank/experience system that exists. They anticipated situations like 'Skyjacker' and that thing where you just racked-up kills with the Brute Spike Grenade (because there was someone working at Bungie who was poor with weapons, but uncannily good with 'Spikes'... hence the provision for the award), but there will be super-unusual situations that they may not have thought would even arise, hence review of films of such 'achievements' by Bungie and their award of Recon... For example, I have a friend (and this is not a pitch for Recon, as I don't want it, and he hasn't asked for it either... just an example of what I mean, ok?) who sent me a film of a Warthog on Sandtrap doing a wheelie for a good three seconds. I have to admit, it did look cool. I wasn't so much impressed with what was a random event in a matchmaking game, but that the Havoc physics engine supported this behavior. I thought it was a pity you couldn't get a badge for that. Well, maybe you can, I don't know, but I assumed not. My (flawed) point is that one can imagine or know of some game event not covered by an award or achievement and Bungie should have created a badge for 'extra-ordinary whatever' and used the film-review system to award it on a case by case basis. The Recon helmet business is the wrong approach, it just seems to be divisive and it is rather paradoxical that Bungie maintain that you have the best chances of getting it if you help the Halo community. How can something that stirs up and splits the community, creates abuse and pestering for those that wear it, be [b]good for the community[/b] or an appropriate reward for actions by individuals deemed by Bungie to be [b]good for the community[/b]?
