What are the best maps for 1v1's in Halo PC?
I always thought that Halo 1 was the only Halo where 1v1's really mattered. I remember it was all about controlling the power ups and map in ways that the other Halo titles failed to recapture. I wanted to get some of your opinions on what maps delivered the best 1v1's in terms of balance and competitiveness.

I was mainly referring to *cough*SmG*cough* some clan's entrance 1v1s... can't think of any names right now... but it's on the tip of my tongue... Yeah, BG is way too big and whoever just pistols on the hill in the middle has easy access to both powerups and can telecamp the entire game. Not balanced for 1v1s or any kind of slayer, it was only ever meant for KoTH or CTF. Rat Race is controllable, but it counters the powerup whores by making you either stay vulnerable on the bottom shooting down the powerups because you can't camp up top and get powerups at the same time. I basically quit if anyone starts running around splattering, uses flamethrower, FRG, or rockets in a 1v1. A nonprecision weapon that kills in less than a second... should not be. Personally, I could never stand Chill Out, leading in the small environment drives me crazy. [Edited on 02.23.2012 4:54 PM PST]
