Thank you guys for doing this, you all made valid comments, except on the story's defense. *insert grrr face here* I think the major problem is in the writing, some of the lines in this game (not referring to the obvious funny ones "I don't even have time to explain...") are simply horrendous. Hiring somebody (*cough cough*Joe Staten's caliber), who is able to combine good writing, story telling and cinematic in a meaningful way, should be their first priority. Destiny is episodic storytelling, I see it as a bunch of related tales forming the whole, but this could be told in an eloquent way, with a vocabulary/plot that the younger audience can understand but without the adults face-palming at so may lines uttered. Dinklebot: "The [i]*insert boss name*[/i] is here, You must kill it!" No duh, I wasn't going to ask him for a dance. Conversations with NPC, 10/10 would love! A mission with Lord Shaxx! Visiting Vexs in the old ruins of Caracas with Crypt-arse! Yes! From all the points you brought up, and all the positive things Destiny has to offer, it seems there is no lack of talent at Bungie, rather a lack of communication between the different departments.
