The title really says it all, for the most part. MC Collection came out and most of know by now its broken, and the other game that just came out which is Unity is also broken, Also when both the PS4 and Xbox One launched probably the #1 most broken AAA game at launch was BF4.
companies see the preorder numbers, once it hits a certain milestone of those preorders, they basically say to the devs they could potentially release it ahead of schedule and make the necessary patches after launch.... after they get your hard earned cash.
There's been quite a few articles floating around the web that state the consumer should start to think about NOT preordering just for this reason, and hopefully gamers alike could hopefully start a trend. Wait til the game is released and then you can either order it online or pick it up from the store, you want the publishers to work for their money after the product is finished not vise versa, We all want a product that works at launch

I read this as #StopThePredator.

Stop DLC first, pre-order is mainly companies getting money from silly people (myself included) buying their games before release. DLC is then an excuse to not have a full game at release.
-
After getting burned on BF4, then again on Destiny, my preorder days are over.
-
Preordered Bloodborne last week. #FeelsGoodMan
Getting a $15 credit from the Sony sale made it an easier decision.
-
I pre-ordered the handsome collection so I already know what I'm getting Does.. Does this count? Lol
-
You're on a forum flooded with teenagers who bought into one of the biggest cash grab games ever. I doubt there will be much support.

Edited by The64thMarine: 3/2/2015 9:50:28 PMIf people stopped preordering it would probably make the quality of games go up. The Devs have nothing to gain unless their game actually is good enough to sell copies so they can't slack off. Also, with no release date that has to be net because of preorders otherwise people get annoyed, they can iron out all of the bugs in their own time.

I can't believe I pre ordered destiny, thinking it would be good...

*Fire Dragon Fire engulfs hand* "You wanna tell me what to do?" *Fire resonates from entire body* "FIRE DRAGON SECRET ART: BRILLIANT FLAME!!!!!" *Pre-Orders Everything*

I can't believe a pre ordered destiny, thinking it would be good.... I didn't even get any of the pre order exclusives.... FAK U BUNGIEEEE
-
>people actually pre-ordering Battlefield Hardline
-
Totally agree. Companies don't even patch it after release. All they want to do is get out the next dlc to sell that. Bf4 took a year to get fixed. In that time they also managed to release most, if not all of their dlc. -blam!-ing ridiculous
-
Is that the little windmill map from Halo 2?
-
The dlc model is rubbish I hate it, stop buying yearly franchises they are just repeats for easy cash , if you buy skins and Micro transactions just kill yourself
-
Bump!!!!!! Tho I may preorder Bloodborne :-/
-
What if I don't preorder a game until a week before it releases, they have to be done developing the game by then and we'll if I'm gonna buy it I want to preorder it
-
I've already fully paid for the division. Good or bad 5 bucks after work a few times and I've got a new game
-
Never pre-ordered. Never will. As with the DLC, if they didn't come out with a decent DLC pack, that includes all DLC. It wasn't worth the money or my time anyways.
-
I like the sound of this anti-preorder game. Where is it up for preorder?
-
Edited by EvilTaffyapple: 2/22/2015 2:04:40 PMHow about you use your head and stop preordering AAA games. Games like The Order have had videos out for over a year - we've known they were going to be QTE-ridden garbage for ages now, so why it's a surprise its crap now is beyond me. The fact the devs even said in interviews they were going for a movie-like cinematic experience should have sounded alarm bells.

Reviews generally come out before the launch, even if it's just before (like The Order 1886). So if the review is crappy, why not cancel your pre-order? I used to pre-order certain games because I wanted to be guaranteed a copy upon release. But these days, that's rarely an issue. Maybe if there's a special edition or is really want that pre-order bonus, then I'll go ahead and pre-order. As for the DLC (especially day one DLC), I don't see it as so much of a cash grab, as a desperate attempt to make money while places like GameStop keep acting like an overpriced rental service and taking a lot of money away from publishers. I'd could wish for the days of offline gaming to return, with no patches and no DLC. But we are way past that...
