Daily Downloaded Updates? Bungie please help!

I recently moved from 360 to one. There were no issues transferring content (Excluding my GameStop Pre-Order Sparrow). I played many days with no issues. Then I purchased the season pass, and the next time I logged in I received an update that's size kept changing as it was downloading. Now nearly every new day I log in I download this update. I have no idea what it is, and I doubt it is Bungie, I have asked other players and they said "Nope, I didn't get an update". Whats going on here Bungie? Why am I downloading this same weird update every day? Why does its size change as its downloading? It starts at 19mb, then goes to 5mb, then changes to something else, until it hits 100% every day. Please let me know if this is normal or some issue that needs to be fixed.

  • The best first step is to clear your cache. Turn off your console and unplug it for at least 10 minutes. Then turn it back on and launch the game. It should download the update one more time and then you will be good.

    • Sometimes that is due to a corrupted file - Destiny doesn't recognize the file and attempts to patch it each time you log in. One thing you can attempt, is deleting Destiny from your hard drive, and reinstalling. Note that this will not affect your characters, which are stored on Bungie's servers.
