How To: Fix Xur - EASY
[u][b]How To: Fix Xur - EASY[/b][/u]
[b]Step 1[/b] - Remove RNG
[b]Step 2[/b] - Add Item Rotation (possibly on a set schedule, where a new set of gear each week is sold, on loop)
[b]Step 3[/b] - Add ability to buy Exotic Engrams with Strange Coins (9 coins is a fair number)
[b]Step 4[/b] - Reduce amount of Motes of Light to 13 per exotic engram, or remove motes from Xur altogether
[b]Simple fixes[/b]. This stops the same items from being sold each week and gives more options to use your strange coins.
Also 23 motes for a pair of sunbreakers is insanity. Nobody will ever be able to afford to buy gear from the Speaker because 25 motes for a visual item without stats is less worth than an exotic gear with stats.
By now [b]most veteran players have over 100 unused strange coins[/b] because of how crappy the current system is. Let us use some to buy engrams, so we can save our motes.
Why only[b] 9 coins for an engram? Because it costs 13 coins for a GUARANTEED exotic[/b] item that you already know what it is, so it should be slightly cheaper to take a chance on a random unknown exotic item that is usually a duplicate or wrong class item. Also players that dont have a lot of coins can at least afford an engram by completing the Weekly Heroic on lvl28.
[b]Did you miss Xur?[/b] Thats okay with a set item rotation schedule you can know when he will sell Gjallahorn again. This also lets you plan accordingly so you know better when to save or when to spend.
People that use the term[b] "Xurners" should realize the only real way to earn gear is to buy it. [/b]Finding it from a random engram or reward is akin to finding a $20 bill just lying on the street. You did not work for it, you got lucky.

Too bad xur isn't rng, you think he would sell the same shit every week out of the different armour and gun combinations that could be put together with rng? Bungie votes on what xur sells man do you think they sit back and ask themselves I wonder what xur will sell this week? Nope they vote on that to bring you the exotics they want to sell you.

2 RepliesXur is a good idea ,but he needs to ask for way more coins or sell only one exotic engram (20 motes of light)and the rest legendary weapons or amor (strange coins).The Xur that's flooding pvp and pve with exotics need to go!!! I mean what's the point of making a weapon or armor into an exotic!?

2 RepliesMaking exotics much easier to obtain isn't a good solution. Xur is a problem that I think kills diversity in this game. The more the best guns in the game become easily accessible to everyone, the more narrow the game becomes and easier it is to point to a certain piece of gear for every situation. However, "fixing him" by changing the value of exotics won't really change anything. I think that the very fundamentals of Xur have to change for anything to become better for Destiny. 7 RepliesYou do realize that within another month you will most likely have all the items you want even with the current system and the system that you are asking for would pretty much kill the game due to no one needing anything. Also with 3 char you will have enough coins for a armor and most likely a weapon especially if you desyth a lot of blues. Same go for motes they drop like water avg person will get atleast 25 a week if you do all activities maybe more. Plus who buys stuff from the speaker 1 bought 1 item each of my classes and 1 emblem. If you really want fix something fix Eva. The only true rarity in this game is raid gear and good looking shaders on hunters

3 RepliesUm, Xur doesn't NEED fixing, he's fine. People just need to stop complaining, regardless of what you feel you no more earned your exotic than a guy who did nightfall, or got coins. We all just need to play and have fun, ok?
