I agree with Gyja to and i know for a fact that the legendary map packs will not be free as in the new story and i quote is says. [quote]When will the Legendary Map Pack be free? We are not currently aware of any plans to release the Legendary Maps for free.[/quote] Also the only reason the heroic map pack was released for free is because the new map pack is going to be released and in the campaign difficulty settings it has the following Easy Normal Heroic Legendary The map pack version was heroic now we are getting legendary and there is no other names to call it as Bungie would not make new map pack which is called extra super hard map pack will they?

why do Bungie and Microsoft promise us a great update, and then not release it at the time they said it would be released.. tbh, this is stuiped i woke up early just to get these maps and now i have been waiting nearly 5 hours for them! i love Bungie and halo 3, but please release the maps, i'm sure everybody would greatly appreciate it!

I've been waiting for ages past the time these damn maps were meant to come out and they're still not free!!!! Microsoft has some explaining to do!!!

I tried getting the maps at 7:15 a.m. EST and they still weren't updated to free... Complaint email sent to Microsoft.......... I doubt it'll do much, but if everyone gripes, maybe somehow, somewhere a Microsoft person will notice, AND FIX IT.

[b]On the positive side: [/b] Posting the Heroic maps will make for more people to have the maps and therefore allow more people to interact with the maps. There will be less of the “Do you have the new maps” when trying to play them. [b]On the negative side: [/b]You have devalued the hard earned cash that the “Early adopters” have paid for them, especially in the UK where we get less for value for anything Xbox live. Whilst I understand the commercial aspect of the new maps and making people pay for all your hard work, there is little incentive to actually pay for the legendary maps again. You should be rewarding people that paid for the first map pack and not penalising them. To pay another 800 points just seems to rub salt in the wounds, how about an incentive that all that paid for the Heroic map pack that supported your development in the first place gets the new maps at a discounted rate, say [b] 500 points. [/b] [b][i]Feeling ripped off[/i][/b]

I totally agree. I was going to set up my Xbox to download the maps while I was at work. I live in PA and got online a 7 (eastern time) and the maps still weren't free. What would you expect from a company affiliated w/ Microsoft? They'll tell you anything just to shut you up.

I'm having the same problem wtf is happening they still cost 800 Microsoft points when they should have been released at 9:00 AM (London) for me its now 12:00. BUNGIE OR MICROSOFT WHATS HAPPENING!!!!! [Edited on 03.25.2008 5:04 AM PDT]

The Heroic maps still need to be bought on my Xbox. Even though they were released at 2 a.m. PDT, at 5 EDT, nothing showed up. Now, It's 7 EDT, and still nothing.
